Or faster internet, since getting Gbit I don't bother storing many games.
Even the biggest games which are 100gb+ don't take long on a 1gb connection

Been saying it for years. Some just can't seem to wrap their heads around it though. I have so many debates here about it.
You could end up with a stinker though. Or a games that's not playable due to bugs etc and by the time it is playable it's likely to have become cheaper. Not in this case
Some of us do but mostly we just turn up the graphics and take 5fps screenshots for the screenshot threadHang on. You guys... play games??!

Your also giving devs an excuse to release a game in any state. Already got your cash so let's fix it later
Not saying that will be the case with Stalker but always the risk when preordering

This is the reason I have stopped pre-ordering games.
All the Stalkers were buggy on release, I would be surprised if this one wasn't. It seems to be the common thing now, release a game, fix it later.

Indeed. But when people say don't pre order they typically don't mean wait 3-6 months. At least not what I understood.
As i said above certain games I just want day 1. In which case it makes sense to preorder and get it cheaper. If reviews turn out crap I just refund it. As long as you have not claimed the key on cdkeys not a problem.
The wait depends tbh, For the sake of what's normally about a fiver I'd rather wait and see if the game is playable on release and if it does end up being a buggy mess that takes month to fix then I'm happy to wait or just not bother at all
Also, we are talking about a pretty low risk activity for let's face it not a lot of money.
I purchased two double vodkas at a work event the other week at a cost me 20 quid, although I am told that apparently was expensive.

Whack drink, wasted £20, have a tea instead!
Played on release and have a pretty bad memory but from what I do remember there was a great sense of exploration and mystery. No real hand holding and it required you to plan a bit. I really liked it. I bet it looks super dated now so I don't blame you. There's also the fact we had a limited selection of games back then, at least to compare to in a similar vein.Confession, I never actually played Stalker properly. I tried years ago when it was already old and couldn't get in to it but I suspect this was just due to how dated it looked. Looking forward to this one though.
