It says it works in the UK, that's the version I bought months ago

Oh, the agent at CDKeys said it won't work. :/

You must be right, though, as someone else on YT said that they also purchased the NA/EU version for UK activation.

DRM free doesn't prevent them encrypting the bulk files and only releasing the smaller critical binaries (and maybe other script files if super paranoid) on release day.
