Stalker 2

It's a beautiful atmospheric game with only the AI that I really find gets in the way... Right from the word go, I'm seeing spawning AI that can see you through walls and go after you from miles away. It reminds me of the AI in the game Deadside! Thankfully theres a patch in the works which is supposed to fix all this and I cannot wait :p

I on the other hand absolutely can wait and I thank you for slogging through the jank so I can have a better experience for a tenner in a few months.

If you are where I think you are, when the anomaly noise gets more intense take cover as a random piece of debris is coming your way. There’s nothing of worth in that building. Just run past it to be honest.

Yup that's where I was and there was nothing in there :)

What amazes me most is they somehow made the Mutants from a 17 year old game engine have the same janky animations on a modern Engine. I don't find fighting mutants fun at all, in fact if I see one spawn in I just sigh.

Bloodsuckers especially, their movement is so janky and fast its just a chore to fight them. Especially if you get 2 or 3 spawn on you. Earlier i got attacked by 3, they all just knock you over repeatedly and I literally had no control over my character for like 6-7 secs while frantically trying to bandage. Then you finally get up and they do that scream which slows you down.

I also don't get how they can release the game which such terrible controller movement due to literally 0 deadzone. Like in the 1000's of hours making the game and testing themselves, did not 1 developer notice how garbage it feels to play on a controller?

It definitely needed at least another 6 months of development.

Also I read on reddit, some guy got half way through the game and there's a choice you make, which leads to an event which literally breaks the game... so I wouldnt rush through it just yet.

To be fair I’m yet to encounter any major issues and at least it runs well on my system. Pretty happy with 18 months of gamepass at the moment with a good few games on there to play again.

Wish they had more branches in steam with experimental fixes so they can mass qa and get official patches out quicker. No timelines given at the moment which is frustrating. Really want to play :(

I think I'm going to give GAMMA another go for a while and let the developers and modders have a go at fixing this. My 9600KF is starting to struggle too so it'll also buy me time to get an upgrade sorted.

For the most part, I was quite happy and maybe a little surprised with the performance I was seeing with my puny 8 GB card, that is until I got to Zalissya.
Oh dear... :D

I haven't really noticed much in the way of bugs or other issues, like the A-life problems I've seen brought up.
I think only once or twice I've seen someone get temporarily stuck when trying to get through a door, or something like that.
