Stalker 2

Came across an annoying side quest breaking bug earlier, will have to reload a previous save.
Not so much a bug, but be careful with the Subtle matter quest, and do exactly what the game tells you (even though it may not be obvious).
I spent way way too long on that one (over an hour :o) before figuring out you have to kill the
Poltergeist thing in the main building
first, or there's zero way of finishing the mission.

Nice to see the mods have come along nicely, super easy to install now too, just bung everything in the ~mods folder like stuff in Cyberpunk. Perfect.

Edit* Namely these mods:

Anyone at the mission in the Ward chemical plant? Once i speak to the boss man at the gate. He asks you to help a Colonel Korshunov. Anyway the guard at the gate simply wont move out the way for me to enter the place. If you use the other entrance and approach a helicopter pad, they assume you're trespassing or something and shoot you. Looks like a bug, i hope thats gets fixed soon as its a stopper for me atm.

Found this too.

hmmn, rather annoyed, played this last night and did a few missions, come to boot up tonight and all the save games are a day old ie i lost my progress from yesterday, its only an hour or so but still f-ing annoying and does make you question the integrity of the save game system.

also it doesn't save the invert y axis setting for the mouse (yes im one of those yokels that like it inverted :D))

Aren’t you meant to speak to the Colonel at another outpost first? They specifically tell you that you can’t enter the base yet?

Take care with the side quest obtaining the artefact. The quest giver can get killed and the whole thing bugs out.

I like the freedom this game allows. I'm playing it like a ruthless thug and if a character irritates me I blow him away with no hesitation. No idea if the game is keeping a log and there'll be repercussions or not.

There will be, there’s different endings.

If previous iterations were anything to go by, it likely will have an impact on which ending you get. However I've not noticed anything that confirms this yet. I'm playing it quite balanced so far, try to be fair and helpful, but at the same time, as long as they don't cross me or try to take the ****. That's when the guns come out.

Put in a couple of more hours. I would say if you have not got the game already, wait 3-6 months for them to fix bugs and optimise.

I still intend to play and complete it, but I always wanted to play it asap. For those that did not jump in already though, you might aswell wait. By then you might be able to get the game for £25 also too :p:D

Game running just lovely for me once I stopped using AMDs official FSR 3 integration, as per usual, official implementation is buggy and inconsistent  Running far better and no crashes since switching to using nukems FSR 3 mode.

Game has obvious bugs with npcs ai etc. but I'm very much enjoying it as it is :)
