Stalker 2

Running at 3440x1440 with everything maxed to the max, frame Gen at quality the usual suspects set to zero if they're there (FG, MB, CA)

Running this performance mod:

Everything runs nice and smooth at 100 fps (my monitor limit), 12700K @ 5.1/4.0 with a 4090 locked at upto 0.95v/2700Ghz.

Edit...2700Mhz...mega hurtz!!

Try this one too

Its better for me but requires a little more effort

You guys running your 4090s at 2700GHz
mine boosts to 2775 odd I always assumed that was normal
I guess reference cards are different though

The boosts not limited on 4090? I thought they found their own limit due to power limit, voltage limit or thermal limit, or die lottery? whichever one kicks in first

MSI show the default voltage curve going all the way up to 3000mhz? my card was sold as having a 2625mhz boost but it seems to be a minimum rather than a pre defined value

my cards around 60-65c in stalker2, there must be a temp where these cards don't want to boost anymore, and I'm guessing the reference designs probably aren't far from it at 100% load or may even hit it

What settings are you guys using? Do you use fsr frame gen?

Maxed out, 4K, frame gen on. Averaging in the 70s, sometimes 60s, sometimes 80s. 7900XTX with 7800X3D, pushes the cpu more than anything I’ve thrown at it. Keeps my system toasty, but the 7900XTX has been impressive for the cost. No stutters either. Not a single crash.

4K, no DLSS, no FG. That’s with a 5950X & 4090FE.

Will be upgrading again once I get hold of a 5090FE, just haven’t decided between a 9800X3D or a 9950X3D yet.

My son is already looking forward to the hand me down, though I may have to get him a 1440 monitor as he’s been reluctant to move on from 1080p so far.

Limited mine though, through undervolting using AB.

Won't exceed 2700Mhz or .950v.

Runs at around 40-46C in Stalker 2 for example.

This game runs efficiently enough that my 4090 and 12700K rarely reach usual gaming temps, quiet GPU and CPU in the 45s. I like that.

4090 runs at 40-46 or cpu you mean?

My cpu is that temp but my fan curves are all sub 600rpm, it's below 40 if I ramp them up for gaming :p

4090 is always below 70 locked at 2730 core and +1100 VRAM though, 0.95v

The GPU.

You're saying your 4090 runs at 40-46 whilst gaming? Either your fans are at max or that surely isn't physically possible?

Edit* Unless it's being liquid cooled of course.

Oh in STalker, I thought you were on about general gaming, yeah Stalker does not max out a 4090 at 4K let alone a lower res!

Here's 4K DLSS for example:

Yeh, for general gaming as well.

Don't forget, the majority of my gaming is 3440x1440, and monitor limited to 100fps.

Don't get me wrong, if I game at UW 4K then obviously the temps rise.

Most I've seen is 69c at 4K.
