Staples's 'Kashmir' Managers Chair

Had this chair over 6 months now, positives being very comfortable and seems to be wearing well. Negitives I would say a bit to reclined when locked and also the recliner lock tends to be a bit loose and pops out when least expected leading to some unintentional relcining!

Overall I'm very happy with it.

omg! I really need to read these forums more!!! :) - didn't expect a 6 page thread discussing this chair LOL!

saw this chair advertised on that hotukdeals site and pounced on buying it. Ordered it online for delivery to my store today, and thought I'd go down and blag it to try and pick it up from their existing stock.

I can honestly say I have never seen such a **** chair!!! - It was horrible to sit in - attracted fluff all over it, had no lumbar support either. Boy I'm glad I went down to the store. Whilst I was there noticed they had loads of half price chairs and found a REALLY nice lumbar support leather look one I liked and grabbed that for a bargain of £69.99 (reduced from £139.99).

Got straight home and cancelled my order - seriously that kashmir chair is well nasty - make sure you check it out in a local staples before buying it!

Wow, really hope I don't find it this bad!

If so, sending it back will be a costly mission. Hmmmm...

i'll agree on the lack of lumbar support, but if you dont find this chair comfy then i fear there is no office chair on the planet that you will find comfy short of putting casters on an arm chair

Haha, I'm only 20 so hopefully lumber support won't be necessary?

It's all about comfort for me, so it seems I have made a good choice.

Got to be better then my £30 Viking Direct fake leather chair I have at the minute, that's for sure.

Cheers for your responses guys.

I've still not got any problems with mine. No loose bolts, no paint flaking, no worn fabric. Potentially the padding is slightly less sumptuous, but nothing I'm really noticing. Maybe the bolts were over-tightened in the first place? This is a far more common problem than under-tightening.

So are you saying it's best to under-tighten the bolts when I assemble the chair?

I'm saying that it's far more common to ruin a thread by over-tightening it than it is for the entire thing to collapse by under-tightening it. It's best to tighten correctly; neither over nor under :p.

Had mine around 6 months and no problems - still as comfy and nothing bad to report. It's very solidly constructed and I enjoy sitting in it - if only my work would invest in some! Anyone who thinks it's not a comfy chair is as mad as a sack of owls.

On the subject of office chairs, I have a Markus chair being delivered tomorrow. - Not sure how good they are, but from all the fans here it seems popular so I have bought one to try it for myself. That one there looks comfortable though, not only that it does look nice looking also.

I have a Markus chair, it is absolutely amazing.

Hmmm, I am seriously tempted to get this chair after reading this thread as it looks really comfy. Need a new chair to replace my cheapo 'leather effect' executive chair which is frankly terrible. 122.99 including VAT on Staples at the moment online. Looks like a bargain. Slightly concerned regarding the build quality but might take a chance.........

Well I ordered this and my wife has just called to say it's arrived at home! It really is insanely comfortable and a lot better than the £500 leather jobbies I tried at John Lewis.

Also it was £199 in-store yet only £130 online?!

Pics to follow.

She put it together herself!

Just get some blue thread lock from ebay for like £2 and then tighten them so the arms don't wobble and they should stay like that. I have had no problems with mine since I used thread lock.
