Star Trek Bridge Crew

Had a go at the first tutorial last night and enjoyed it but the AI are morons aren't they. Why does the AI helm make no attempt to avoid the bloody mines? Idiot...

Tell them to blow up a ship while your so close you will take damage, yep ok I want to die anyway...thought they would be there to help lol

I use voice control and spend most of the time shouting and swearing at them which my Mrs thinks is well funny....... Morons indeed!

Had a good go at this over the weekend, I'm enjoying the challenge playing with the AI in the Aegis, but where the hell is the tutorial to use the "old" enterprise bridge? I didn't have a clue what to do...

That said I'm not blown away by it...I guess it's the same frustration I had with the series on TV. OK we're starfleet and we have this awesome spaceship and loads of firepower but will sit around doing nothing until the situation becomes desperate...in the game the AI is just dense, why would you fly into an anomoly that will damage the ship even when I've told you to "FULL STOP" ... honestly, I think I want the minions to help me out on missions in future, at least they come good by accident and have a healthy supply of bananas so they're useful for something...

In the old enterprise bridge, just use the overlay that shows what each key does. It's not that hard once that's enabled.

You won't be blown away with the game playing with the AI. It's a game that's designed to be a social experience. The gameplay and scenarios are pretty basic right now. What makes the game is the interaction between each of the players. Some days it's comedy gold, other times it's really pulling together and doing a good job to complete the mission. And sometimes it's both.

I still wish they would give us more freedom of movement with random missions, a more real journey through space, maybe with away missions and boarding other spaceships etc.

There definitely needs to be some kind of messenger system in Oculus.

+1 to this.

I've only got you guys on Home so would not have a clue how to get in touch if I was around for a game of something, apart from leaving a message on here which would probably be too early or late!

How do you all normally coordinate a get-together?

That would be a great feature, every time I have fired up Oculus no one is online :)

Maybe some pre-programmed messages that you fire off to people or even the ability to open a message group, I know in steam you can create rooms but no good if you are not online at same time or not in steam :D

The problem I have with Oculus Home is that if you leave it open, there's hardware activity involved, as you can feel your headset get slightly warm compared to having Home closed.

It might be just easier to add people on Steam - it's the one thing that I pretty much have running constantly, and even if I'm shown as offline, I'll still get a message straight away.

Anyway, same username on Steam for me if anyone wants to add me. If I'm online, feel free to ask me if you want a game of something. And if you look at my profile, don't ask me about Clicker Heroes. I don't talk about that shameful part of my existence...
