Star Trek Online

lol 25 hours! :)

does that mean we can get our pre order bonus' and the kahn uniforms soon? i got mine from D2D too

Still says the 2nd on there - so tomorrow at sometime. With Champions Online I seem to remember getting the key late afternoon of release day. Just keep logged into your account page and keep refreshing. Next to your purchase "Pre-ordered" should change to "Download now".

Is there a "/play" command that tells you how much you have played?

Also, when is the lifetime sub deadline ending?

Still not sure :(

Type "/played". The current deal ends tomorrow.

Any idea about what time tomorrow the lifetime sub offer ends?

Im lvl 8 at the mo and have decided i want to go down the Escort route. Any idea what skills I should be selecting? or what sort of strategy i should be adopting when selecting skills? I seem to have adopted a generic approach ticking a little of everything but have prioritised high yield lvl1 and Jamming sensors lvl1 and emergency power to Shields lvl1.

I also want to use the Rapid Fire ability as I read that will suit my game but don't know how to activate it. I think, i can't until i reach the next level (lt.cmdr) and promote my tactical officer. At the minute my tactical officer is trained to high yield lvl1 to skill level 9.

Don't really know what I should be doing here! :P

Also, if someone can tell me, where is the best place to try and pick up a quantum launcher? Can't find one for love nor money in the pre headstart. Got a couple in Open Beta and that was at lvl 4. Nothing in the Exchange/ Merchents :(

Thanks guys

I can't decide whether to go Escort or Cruisers! HELP! :(

@sroberts - focus on the skills that increases space combat;

Tier 1

Starship Operations
Projectile Weapons
Beam Weapons.

Ground combat is a bit null now and really doesn't require any skills need training.

Thanks CR :)

No idea! I wouldnt wait to long if you want to get one.

Your main attacks will be using cannons and torpedoes. Focus on all space combat skills and as little as possible on ground combat. Basically, any space skill that increases your damage output, is good.

It is tough choosing between cruisers and escorts. Most fleet actions I have seen mostly cruisers and escorts - only a handful of science ships. Even though cruisers are very average, they are the iconic ships of Star Trek - and they do look quite pretty :). I chose an escort and often top the fleet action scoring tables.

Can anyone tell me what this will be like for solo/casual play ? I never got much beyond lvl 35 in WoW, playing since it started off and on (though I had about 12 alts) and often only have limited time, but I'm not in any rush - just wondering if it's feasible to see most of the game solo or in small PUGs ?

If it requires l33t skills and constant time, I may as well not bother.

Thanks.

I think you may be in luck with this game. Doesn't require leet skills or hrs of time to progress.

Thanks. I suppose the opposite question then is: Does this mean there's enough content to last a while ?

As someone who took 6 months to level to around 30 in WoW, would I be running out of STO content in a year as a solo ?

There seems to be a lot of content - it is taking me ages to level. They are also going to add a lot very soon and then more again in the future.

Edit: Plus there is a lot of randomly generated content e.g. exploration missions.

Would it be possilbe to get a invite to Full Impulse tonight please?
