Unless you can get the deluxe for the same price or cheaper, don't bother. The bonus items that come with the deluxe version quickly become obsolete. Plus, if you join our fleet we have stacks of items in the fleet bank for members use anyway. I have certainly found the bank useful when levelling alt characters.

The Red Matter Capacitor is useful even later in the game.

Most of the other items quickly become not so useful. The Steam special (Cromodynamic Armour), is obsolete by Lieutenant Commander.

And the various Tactical consoles (there a couple but the one you get depends on which deluxe version you get), find themselves trying to justify their worth at about the same point.

The tribble is somewhat useful, but there are other better tribbles.

The season 1 and 2 arcs were back to back if I remember correctly. Haven't seen any news on season 3, but there is a lot more coming than just episodes, so they may be working on all of that.

I do enjoy the episodes. They should aim for one every few month as they give a good change to the normal missions.

I'd like to join you guys and see how active things are before I decide to buy, I don't know if it works on a trial account?
If not, I'll probably give in and buy it anyway, I realise I can't even type in zone so I guess I can't join a fleet as trial.

I believe you need to paste the name of a captain on that account, as Fleet membership is on a per toon level.

I have a spare PC with TS3 server software installed on it, and I'm on a 20Mb connection so it can handle about a dozen users (maybe more dunno).

Do you know how to get XII items e.g. increasing the difficulty? I have only ever had one XII item drop.

To get Mark XI, the foes should be +2 to you, I believe Mark XII's should be +4, which will normally only be 'boss' or capital ships. I get a fair few of mine from Fleet Actions. Even white Mk XII's go for a pretty song on the exchange, especially consoles.

I'll put the TS3 details in the fleet MOTD.

Actually, come to think of it. I think I got my XII from one of the Breen capital ships. Put it up on the exchange for 2 mil - I can hope

Would like to do a 5 man raid with the fleet. Most of us have an admiral character now, so shouldnt be too difficult to arrange one weekend. Perhaps make it a weekly thing on a Sunday (seem to be most on Saturday/Sunday afternoon)?

Great thing is with the new fleet controls, we can make an event. I will look at creating one over the next few days - unless Anon-e-mouse beats me to it
