Errrrr not sold any Aegis kits cos can I hell work out crafting and its really winding me up :mad:

I must be missing something cos I've fabricated all sorts of lower stuff but nothing seems to change ? Been to Lt Achient and nothing :(

Is there a really easy guide cos the ones I've read make no sense to me. I mean why would you buy hypos and stuff like Mk2 phaser arrays to take to MA ? I take it you can then mod them ? Beats me :confused:

And theres something wrong with the B'Tran cluster as the only purple samples you can get is by exploring the anomalys , hmmmmmmm
 
Hang on a minute , does Romaine have her own store cos it doesnt show up when I talk to her and I did the mission to start crafting ?

At the moment I'm just blindly buying (crafting) things directly off the R&D console and using a hell of a lot of samples ?

The system has changed. Now, every time you craft something, you get points e.g. 10 for a hypo, 50 for rare sheilds etc etc. It doesn't matter what you craft to increase your craft skill. To craft the Aegis kit you need a skill of 1500 i think.

I went on a mission a few weekends ago to raise my craft from 0 to max. I did this farming the Delta Volanis Cluster and crafting Hypo's, Personal Shields and Power Cells. Although these items are low in terms of crafting points, I believe this is the quickest way and when it comes to doing the STFs, those Hypos will be useful.

I don't have a problem collecting purple samples from the B'Tran cluster, just make sure you go in the VA version.
 
So basically it has nothing to do with modding things its all about how many transactions you do ?

So if you get to 1500+ R&D points then most everything will be available ?

Simple as that ? No talking to different officers etc ? :confused:

Ta for heads up on the B'Tran I didn't think it would let me in as a VA when I'm not one yet ;)

Yup, it really is that simple. Get your samples and then park you ass at the main R & D console in memory Alpha. Craft away until you reach max or desired skill level. Just be sure to save some of the radiation samples (and the other two low level samples) for crafting the schematics of the piece of equipment you want.
 
Ah the joys of being a different type of officer, no crafting required.

Thanks for the pointers got about 200 of everything so will see where it gets me LOL ;)

Any truth in that if you have a FED ship you shouldn't max out with phasers , use disrupters instead and vice versa ? :confused:
 
What rubbish the klingons and romulans have been putting in your ears.

Phasers or Phase canons of high spec are as good.

Try to move more towards canons with escorts/tactical , phasers in cruisers... Crusiers in broadsides with phasers hurt, full on front assualt with escorts

Fleet Escort with 3 IX (purple) HD Phaser Cannons + 1 XI (purple) Quantum TL - Front

3 x XI (purple) Phaser Turrets - AFT

Just have to sort out my BO for Rapid fire 3 , Jam sensors , Attack Pattern Omega and High Yield 3 :D:D

Leveled from lc4 to c1 within OCUK fleet, kitting out my new c escort ship but run out of credits 3/4 way though. Only buying greens. Plenty of c6 stuff in guild bank to help me fill the gaps but dont have access. Whats that all about? How do i get access to the tab thats applicable to my level? I know there is a danger of Ninja but come on!
 
The new mission. Hmm, well it was interesting i guess but very very short but had some nice things to do in it i guess. I picked the exploit weapon reward to use on my character as my BO have all good guns for now and i think it was about time to replace the aging overpowered sniper rifle i use to have (never use the sniper due to loving the type 3 rifle).

I hope not to spoil it but the way the storys going their bringing back a old race from tng (wont say who) who shouldnt be in sto imo.

About crafting, i hate how they took out the ability to upgrade stuff from a common item into un common or rare. I had a crap load of torps saved up from getting new ships and was gona upgrade em all to rare and flog em for a nice price. Now since crafting doesnt let u anymore im stuck with a load of torps i wont get much for. :(

Yes, while most stuff in there is junk we did have one player who took a load of endgame gear and put nothing back. Wasn't an OcUK member either, so got the boot.
 
I've spent the last 4 hours on The Cure, we have got to the part with the 4 transponders, we get so close to finishing the sequence but end up failing one one of the other transponders!

We had a good team at the start, but some guy got a call so he had to go to work. We tried it with 4 but it didn't go too well and one more left for other reasons. We've recuited lots more since then but it's not going too well.

We might have to call it off and try some other time as we have been trying to recuit 1 more person for the last 40 mins - nevermind we got a new guy now! Hopefully we can do this now.

Nope, didn't manage to do it so we are going to try in the future. Is anyone interested in doing this mission?

I'm going to find some knockback weapons today and will assist you in doing Infected, The Cure etc and I need to get a bat'leth apparently.
