Star Trek Online

Frustrating that there are no fleet admirals still playing. When I came back for season 3 I realised I wasn't sticking around for much longer, so placed a few new fleet admirals (including lifers) to avoid this problem. Hopefully someone will return in the near future.

I basically stopped playing after crafting of the aegis gear - there was nothing else to grind for anymore and not much to keep my attention. I think I just played the game too much, but it was fun while it lasted.

Would certainly return if it went F2P.

Sorry Cavallino thats what I mean, whatever rank you hold makes no difference to the gameplay.
Yep I thought this too. Tbh I wasnt asking to become a Fleet Admiral to help my game, but to keep the Fleet alive.

Also fleets are no longer doing anything really.
Really? Not even just a place of congregation?

I'd suggest heading over to some of the big fleets who are organised and active.
Oh Im not looking for something serious, the OCUK was exactly the ticket :)
Anyway I detect some reluctance to grant my request, so I will retract my request :p

Oh its not reluctance but the fleet wont close because no admirals are about. I never saw the OCUK fleet gather ever. I am rejoining soon and will do some fleet admin if you have some suggestions.

We gathered quite a few times actually towards the end of last year :p

A large number of us got together every week to do dailies and the raids, but after that most of us stopped playing. It was mighty fun to team with OcUK members :)

The problem with fleets, and the rest of the game, is that not only is teaming rarely required, it is more of a chore to set up. The only useful thing about the fleet was the extra bank space (which got raided shortly before I left) and the ability to easily chat to OcUK members and know where we all were.

The OcUK fleet will always be there, just needs a few members to keep it active. There are only a couple of active fleets around these days, and they are all super serious. What I loved about our fleet was how casual and fun it all was. I am sure it will be full of life when STO goes F2P :)

Seems a pitty that the players who are playling like myself and Cavallino can't at least keep the OcUK name alive.

Why the reluctance to bring us in?

I think JGBR just means at the moment you aren't missing much not being in the fleet.

None of us are active at the moment - hopefully JGBR or someone else will be able to add you soon!

SB24 is both space and ground mission (well spacestation anyway).
But the mission I am reffering to is the space one where basically you have to batter your way through fleets of Kilingon ships with other Federation ships.

You have to take out 50 ships and then in the next stage you have to take out 20 Neghvar ships. Once thats done, the game then calculates the damage you dished out and ranks you again other Federation ships. Usually the highest placed player gets a blue item and some recognition thing....

If you level up quickly and get to commander you will be eligible for a new ship (each new rank gets you a ship token which you can exchange for a ship at your level).

So this is the Starbase in the Sirius Sector block?
I have accepted the mission but not sure how to start the mission. Always seems to be plenty of ships parked next to the station. How do you enter the mission?

Will try again later.

I suppose its like being in a guild/corp. Just the fact your under one banner and you can see who is online, talk ..... I appreciate its limited but ...

It's lonely in space, no one can here you scream !

You should get an option to "enter the fleetaction" - I forget the specific name. This will take you to the space portion of the conflict which I believe you need to complete before heading to the starbase and doing the ground combat portion.

I have seen that with the Enemy Contacts. OK at least I know how it works now. Cheers.

I dont think Fleets shut down because of non use.

Ultimately the fleet only works it seems if its serious and unfortunately that requires hardcore players!

Asgard, let me know your full nick in game, I will probably be on tonight and we can do some missions and stuff together.

(Not 100% definite but hopefully so!)

What sort of time you thinking?

Not in the good books with the wife so might be able to get on earlier, probably just before 8PM :D

Usually I'm on around 10-12PM.

The secondary question is what to do about the OCUK fleet? I'd do some serious management when i sign in again?

Any thoughts people?
