Star Trek Online

So I've started playing this as a tactical officer.

I have skill points available but I can't put more points in to any other space skills, what gives?

You've reached your maximum spend at that level; if you look at the section at the bottom, you've spent 15,000/15,000 on your Space Skills and nothing on Ground Skills. You'll have to either spend some on those, or wait until you level up again.

Hey hows all the F2p guys finding it?

Its still gets stuck when u get to the top rank too quickly. rave, me and anon are around normally.

I believe it is doable, since I did it with my third character in that amount of time. It certainly won't be "casual" play though :p

was for me, but i been playing since closed beta its really easy once you know every little trick to get ranked up the fastest.

but that's not advisable to anyone who actually wants to enjoy the game :p

Played it for a while since launch then stopped, got back into since F2P new char gone with escort rather than cruise and have to say loving it, 3 x mk3 dual phasers on LC Escort is fun :)

Escort is definitely the most fun IMO. Having ranked up all 3 character and ship types, I have to say I am glad that my first character and main was a tactical escort type. From the betas, it was always clear that dps was the most useful focus in cryptic games.

The game has kind of left me behind now though. I remember aggressively marketing stuff and making a fortune on the auction house during release and when the crafting gear was released. Then when they brought in Latinum, leaving my character mining it over night and making a fortune.

The last I played was during the Romulan weeklies, just kind of burned out.

I miss having my g13 for this game too. Sold it shortly after release. The joystick and controls all at one hand certainly made the game more immersive.

It has the advantage of not being WoW.. Although it's more for the casual player than hardcore.. "we gotta raid" brigade. Most of the episodes are about an hour, STF's are 15-30 minutes (depending on the group).. the only really long missions are the Fleet Actions, and to be honest no-one plays them much.
