Ah balls worked it out, I'm not logged into the account which had my characters. Problem being I can't remember my account name and the email address it was linked to I can't access anymore as it was my work one and we were bought over a year ago and transferred to a new mail system :(

I had that problem while adjusting graphics settings. Seemed to work itself out the next time or so that I played.

It hasn't worked itself out for me. It doesn't happen that often, but it seems to be when I click a button, not any particular one either, in both space and ground combat. Earlier tonight it minimized as I clicked the fire button for my assault rifle, yet yesterday it happened when I clicked Rotate Shield Frequencies.

Only just started playing, all I constantly see is "player x has a stupid ruddy cardy ship" on my screen. The supposedly crap rate of getting a ship and the sheer number of people getting the ships, the amount people must be paying for keys is ridiculous, they must be making a mint off daft people :p

Quite funny, I was so unimpressed with the beta/open beta that while it was too late to cancel my pre-order and I never got around to sending it back I managed to use the retail code to add 2 months gold membership to my account.

I did always plan on letting it get a few months into the game, have some patches done and hopefully improve then play but never bothered.

Ground combat is still awful, and horrendously buggy, your guys getting stuck behind shields all the time and I've hit dozens of maps with bits missing or where enemies and your own guys all get stuck under the surface and when it works perfectly, its not even slightly fun. The lack of punishment for dying in space/ground somehow feels, stupid, in PVP games you can understand but in PVE it feels pointlessly easy.

That is the main problem with the game, I've not played that much at all, have silly money, its stupidly easy to get the best purples straight away after getting a new rank and ship and I've hit almost lvl 40 without putting in much time or really any difficulty at all.

Yet being startrek its still fun for a short while, everyone seemingly has whatever kit they want pretty easily end game(from what I've read it appears that way, might be wrong). The main issue with it is like most MMO's, they are all being nerfed into ridiculously easy games. PvP with random teams is well, like most MMO's hit and miss, a team where people will fight with, great, team where everyone randomly goes off on their own or randomly decides to defend a point no one is going after..... crap.

Short term, its a laugh, story wise, there are some not bad stories, some pvp and war's are great fun, many are utter crap.
 
Anyone waiting for a fleet invite I'll sort them out tonight when I login, sorry but I wasn't ingame yesterday to sort them.

The ease of leveling is partially deliberate. As it puts you in the realms of needing Dilithium quicker, and needing Dil means you *may* buy it with Cryptic Points. It doesn't matter if you don't, someone else probably will, and that's how they make their money these days.

That and stupid gimmicks like lockboxes, when one drops in STF's I pass.. I have no need of green boxes.
 
I come back to it after stopping away a lot longer than intended with getting married moving house etc. It took me a while to get back to grips with my cruiser and wished I had done a bit more reading as they hazard emitters are now an engineer based if I read that correct but found my galaxy class sorely put too intill I did a bit of jiggling around with my crews skills. I still found coop play a hit and miss affare, I had some good play in some of the encounters with Borg failed close but most importantly enjoyable compared to the frustration of trying to do the crystalline entity with different opinions of the way to complete the mission a waste of two hours gaming. Can I be added to the fleet as I would like to do some fleet actions without the frustration of public play.

There's actually some debate going on currently over the veracity of the pop-ups; firstly nothing has ever been announced server wide like this before, secondly people have seen their names announced when they haven't won anything and this combined with the dilithium Exchange being disabled shortly after the release of the lock boxes had led to a quite a conspiracy theory...

Essentially the messages are fake and designed to make you buy the Master Keys... or so they say. All I know is I've seen 3-4 Galors but hundreds of messages.
 
Quite agree that the popups are spammy crap, and I tend to agree with the CT nuts sadly.
I wouldn't mind if they were just in the chat, but popping up over the whole screen is ridiculous.

No objection to the boxes, but this is potty....

Hey guys.

Hit Lv10, but I've finally decided that I picked the wrong 'class', so I'm going to delete and remake. Its not a huge loss, so I don't mind doing it, but I'd rather not lose all my items. I'd rather not go to the fuss of making an alt account just to act as a mule to hold the items for a couple of minutes, but what other options are there? A friend said that the bank is cross-character, so would still contain the items even when I delete my character. Is this true? He wasn't certain on this, and I'd rather not lose all the stuff I've been building up.
Also, I assume bridge officers and duty officers can't be traded? Would be nice if they could, but I can't see that happening.

So long as the Boff's and Doff's are not bound you can trade them. Your bank is PER CHARACTER, there is no account bank. The only bank that can be accessed by more than one toon is a Fleet Bank.

However if you mail yourself all the items, any toons on that account can pick up the mail's. Although if you do this, I would only bother mailing anything thats uncommon rarity or better.
