Star Trek Online

So long as the Boff's and Doff's are not bound you can trade them. Your bank is PER CHARACTER, there is no account bank. The only bank that can be accessed by more than one toon is a Fleet Bank.

However if you mail yourself all the items, any toons on that account can pick up the mail's. Although if you do this, I would only bother mailing anything thats uncommon rarity or better.

Could I also send EC and Dilithium this way?
Also, can you mail the Boff's and Doff's? I assume this small issue with these would be that you have to be Lv5(right?) To use them, so I assume you would also need to be that level to receive them, and then trade them again?

Can't mail EC, can transfer Dilithium by using the Dilithium Exchange to put a sale up then cancelling it, you then switch characters to withdraw your Dilithium from it.

Only way of transferring EC, would be to either

1). Put it in the Fleet Bank and withdraw on the new toon..
2). Create a new toon, get a carpy item put it on the exchange for whatever EC you have.. then on your current toon buy the item.. your new toon has the EC, your old one has a carpy item.. Delete old toon, rinse repeat.
3). Pass it to someone, who can then return it once you've re-created yourself.

Yes you can mail Boff's / Doff's although not ones you've commissioned or ones that are bound. Any level toon can receive Doff's.

It's getting far more fun now I can actually fly something that does a quite a bit of damage. Just got Commander and am pretty impressed with the damage the Heavy Escort can dish out.

My new toy.

Mind if I get another fleet invite please? Deleting my character seems to have kicked me out! On the bright side, I have everything I used to have. Yay!

You can send to other people commissioned boffs. Just drag from the left list in your status screen to the trade box when your giving the boff to someone, breen and reman cant tho unfortunately but any other you can afaik because i have got boffs from someone before.

Also, on a side note, I can't find this skill. I'm planning on getting up to Lv10, getting an escort and sticking a set of dual heavy cannons for massive damage and limited range. But I don't see it listed in the skills. The only Lt. Commander skills I can see are 'Starship Energy Weapons' and 'Starship Projectile Weapons'. So where are the cannon weapons?

Thanks!

I believe they're skills for your Bridge Officers to train. If you look up a few posts to my image, Kolak has two cannon skills trained (Cannon: Rapid Fire & Cannon: Scatter Volley).

The Starship Cannon Weapons skill was removed.. to make it easier for people to allocate their skill points.. Cannons now come under Energy Weapons and are affected accordingly.

I should have pointed out that you can trade Boff's face to face, but as the op was putting going to put them in the mail, normally commissioned and bound Boff's / Doff's will not mail.

Going to make a new character end of this week. Got my main to VADM the other day and it would seem i'm at the end of the story line too as I can't find any more assignments other the featured episodes when they go live..

I tried this game when it first came out, and it got boring pretty fast. Being led around by the nose on away missions, the bridge being just there for show, the space combat becoming repetitive... How is it now, Any improvements? Is it worth taking another look? And what are the restrictions for free play, do you need to pay for the good gear, or for bridge officer slots, or something?

Everythign bar the hardcore STO fan is fine on Free to Play.

You will be amazed at the changes, its free after all, so give it a go!

Right managed to get my account back from 2010 after a bit of faff getting the email changed since I didn't have access to the original one anymore.

Someone tell me what the deal with Dilithium is? Also, are all the old Technical Schematics etc from the clusters worth anything? I have about 1000 combined as I was hoarding them for the old "crafting" system if you could call it that!

PWE are owners of the greediest cash shop games going about, and now they got there hands on STO it's only gunna get worse

90% of content will be through lotto boxes from cash shop, we will get 2-3 featured episode weeks per year lol?

Funny how in mid January, this was being bashed...yet now mid feb turns out to be true...

just quoting for my own use.

The lock boxes for the Jem'Hadar ship were very successful so it's no surprise they've brought more in though this time using in-game methods to acquire the boxes and the store for the unlock key rather than pure cash-shop. If it's supporting the F2P side of the game then I don't think players will mind as long as it doesn't get too out of hand. Some players are already complaining about the box drop rate though so looks like they're still experimenting with things. Other F2P games are now bringing in the same thing LotRO being an example so obviously been highly successful.

While true on the content this is now being looked at with new weekly episodes being released, the first being last Saturday and a new episode each Saturday (I don't know how long it'll last). With the queues last weekend it looks like F2P has given the game a new life. :)

yup, but some games pull off the cash shop routine rather well you wont get that from PWE - at least not without fight and backing from cryptic side of things, it dosn't help that CBS pull a lot of strings too and they are rather greedy with trek in general so its no wonder we are getting nickel and dimed daily. :p

and the featured episodes are normally 4-5 weeks long, and we are only getting 2 that are confirmed whilst a 3rd was mentioned but i would bet my house we don't see any light to it.
