There is no way this game is a flop and there are still a lot of players (it is Star Trek after all) - plus with instancing it will always be populated in yuor area. The best thing you can do is to post your Captain name@account name here, join our fleet and ask questions as you come across them. To me this game is nothing like WoW.

You get a new ship at level 11. Tbh there arent really any "bad" decisions. However, tactical does suit an escort class ship very well.

I have two fed toons:
An eng in cruiser and tact in escort.

May play a little again on the weekend. Feel free to join our OcUK fleet - should be people on to help answer your questions.

It is a lot of fun, certainly for the 3-6 days of play it will take you to get to admiral. Kind of bored after that though - but there is raid content now, it just doesnt sound all that fun! Anyway, all I can suggest is to make up your own mind.

I enjoyed my time with STO - but there are much better games out there. Plus I dont get them charging £10 a month for this game.

Wondering what the new changes are like though?

Don't think any of us have any trial keys left and I havent seen it reduced all that much anywhere.

I found the game fun, just didnt have much left to do in it. May return for a month sometime soon.
