If I am understanding your questions correctly, the CB client will patch to the OB client fine. Mine did - of course the proof will be when we run the game tonight :)
 
Also what speeds are you people getting off steam. I bought it from amazon and steam but i registered my amazon key... I take it i can just dl off steam and login as normal?

I sent him my launcher .exe file from when the client is installed. If you run the game using only that file and having 0 other files, it downloads the full game off the server rather than using P2P systems like the client downloader thing and torrents which should get you the game quicker. I just edited it to tell him where to put the launcher file on his machine.

Yep, you can patch to OB from a CB client.

It's probably the game launcher, as the file hosted is 700KB more than the .exe you linked too and when packed into a RAR / ZIP file the launcher is about 1.8 - 2.0 mb.
 
Mines been on 100% for ages now (about an hour!), on around 200kb/s. Not sure what's wrong with it :/

Scared to restart steam incase it goes back to 75% (what it was when I started today).

Just stick with it. The servers are going to fail in a big way at 6pm anyway, so I doubt you would miss much!

The client that Pyroblaze posted on the previous page might be your fastest option if it maxes out your connection.

True but if you keep leaving it like that for another hour you probably could have got the 25% again if it does revert :P

You get a Miranda class ship, which is a basic ship. You can customise it however to look more like other ships but until you reach Lt. Commander level you are stuck with that one. You can customise such things as the saucer hull and nacelles for models, and then you can change the skin design. Although note you can't make the Miranada class look like the Enterprise, it just doesn't have the options in the customising to do that.

Ohhh thanks looking up that Miranda class ship it looks like a ship I'd like! Can't wait to design my own! :D
