There was no mention of it being the first of anything, simply that it's a new class of ship & some of it's components use borg technology.

Seven told Picard it was the first of a new class of ship using tech derived from the borg cube in episode one.

My phone is a new model phone & uses an AMOLED display. That does not mean it's the first phone to contain an AMOLED display.

Ok...

Exactly, nowhere there does it say it's the first ship to have borg tech fitted. She specifically says "is a new class of ship, it utilizes components derived from Borg technology researched on the Borg cube artifact."

Voyager had borg tech onboard, but it wasn't built like that, it was field modded & you can bet it would have been ripped out upon return until the implications were understood.

Well its obvious to see that the writers don't really care about lore.
For example in ep1 when they all decided to fire on the borg queen when they should all know from logs that the weapons are pointless against borg shields.

The new shows seem to want to move away from the Federation being a highly trained effective military outfit, to a rag tag group of emotional humans with zero skills.

NO! Not the first ship to have borg tech, the first one using tech derived from the borg cube.
She specifically says "[The Stargazer] is [the first of] a new class of ship, it utilizes components derived from Borg technology researched on the Borg cube artifact."
FTFY.

Voyager had borg tech onboard, but it wasn't built like that, it was field modded & you can bet it would have been ripped out upon return until the implications were understood.
Right, but this isn't about voyager or your shiny new phone. it was stated it was the first of a new class and it's safe to assume it was the first ship in service to use tech derived form the borg. Really not sure why you're arguing about it.

Awesome episode! Some of you just whinge to be 'edgy' I think!

This is good Trek. No feelings, over long speeches, LGBTQ crap, but a decent story running through with time travel, Borg and sexy 7! Ep 3 was reminiscent off Star Trek 4 TVH.

I thought the doctor in S1 was good, but in this season she was more like Tilly - ditzy and not relevant, but the Borg Queen join scene was excellent.

Really enjoyed all 3 episodes so far.

Yep what is going on with the borg queen is far more interesting that the rest of the lets run around LA looking for a magical space pixie.

Please kill Raffi in the next episode.
