Star Trek: Picard

I do feel he slightly sullied himself with that incident with James Corden. I know they made up afterwards but it showed he can be a bit of a whatsit.

TBF, Stewart has always championed women's causes since he grew up watching his drunk father beat his mother regularly. As this was predominantly a women's event that he'd been asked to attend, he probably took Cordon's behaviour as a disrespect to the event and by extension the women there. This was at a time when Corden was considered a drunken ass most of the time.

Ha, think he was sitting there watching and getting more and more wound up (while also getting drunk) with Corden and his very casual demeanour. Got a bit silly when Corden told him to ******* get on with it. Neither came out of it very well.
Not a big fan of Cordens shouty interview/presenting style myself.

Stewart seemed to realise he'd made a bit of an idiot of himself when they made up later.

I'm wondering if they are going to portray the Borg as being the ones persecuted this time round?

Considering voyager found it's way back to the alpha quadrant, starfleet have had 20+ years to take that knowledge and create weapons/defences to take the fight to them. They also lost a large part of their network when Janeway blew up the transwarp hub.

Interesting.

Five weeks away?

i think the rescue armada that he lead will be to rescue Borg after janeway kill the queen and destroyed the subspace like between them, leaving them helpless in space. and he quit starfleet because they refused to help rehab the "free " borg back to there former (pre borg) state. instead using the advanced borg tech to upgrade starfleet and to build a race of data "type" androids to be slaves

Retconning the Borg might end up with what Discovery did to the Klingons, or Kelvin timeline shenanigans. I'm not sure that running back to one of the favourite baddies means they've got anything new to put into the show, if it means they are as bereft of good ideas as they were for Discovery. I want to see more than just rehashing the old things again, and getting Picard back has already used up the free passes for simply doing all the old stuff again.

They'd have to rewrite the past for it to be retconned.

I think you might be right.

I Doubt they will retcon the borg by rewriting established Canon, not like Discovery and the Klingons.

it's not really a retcon of the borg if it's a story about what happens to them after their 'civilisation' was destroyed, presumably by Voyager?

So they're not doing it like netflix and dumping all the eps online in one day, thought that might have been an option. :(

Nope, I'm going to have to extend my Prime for a Month or two to get the whole series. Or grab Prime for a month once it's all out then cancel it once I've binged it. There's no problem with that, the only thing hard at that point is of course spoilers. So... depends on how well you can stay away from them. And it might be quite hard, considering in The Mandalorian, things just shot out into the Internet and stayed big the moment it was released, so all I can say is "Good Luck" if that is what you intend to do.

Please, please, please, let me see the Enterprise E one more time, I love that (cannon) ship and it was sorely underused.
