Star Trek: Picard

I've gone through the wilderness years without any kind of Star Trek to moan at anything that comes out now with the Star Trek logo in the intro! :)

You guys seemed to have forgotten how bad some of the episodes from season 1 of the TNG were. (I'm looking at you "Code of Honour"!) Nothing they bring out now should ever be as bad as that so if I permanently scared my young brain with some of that dross back then, now my distinctly middle age brain will easily take whatever they throw at it now. ;)

I will take code of honour over almost anything in Picard. At least you still had the good core cast.

We can get into a row over it like Worf and Picard ("If you were any other man, I would kill you where you stand" :)) but I will give you "the cast".

I still don't think I have recovered from the death of Tasha Yar from out of nowhere! :)

I'm not sure "it's bad, but not Code of Honour or Move Along Home bad" is much of an endorsement. Especially when we're following an established character like this and it should have hit the ground running.

I can see the enthusiasm for the upcoming series three is reaching fever pitch now. Some report says this is a return to Trek of old but I find that hard to believe. Kurtzman is supposed to have minimal input on this series. There is a review of it from Robert Meyer Burnett who made these claims as he is supposed to have seen it. There is a few weeks to go now.

Still not seen season 2 yet

You watched the 2nd season? Lol you was literally hating on the first season and even put me off watching the 2nd lol

Dude, how could I possibly put you off if you enjoyed season 1 as much as you said you did?

I basically watched the first episode as I recall and the rest I watched while skipping ahead so went through it pretty fast.

I really think Lore is gonna be a "good guy" in this, they already have a few enemies set up, plus the flesh colour Lore had almost seems like he's trying to be more human. Probably horribly wrong but it would be a twist for the character.
