Star Trek: Picard

Apparently the actor that plays Moriarty only shot scenes for a day, so likely to be a very limited appearance.

I have to say a hallelujah because my non-disclosure agreement was lifted yesterday at the New York Comic Con with the announcement that Moriarty would be returning. I’ve had to sit on this information since last December when I went to Los Angeles to film the episode. It was a fantastic experience as it always is… The work was was wonderful. It was just one day of shooting.

I'd love it if it was just one episode, bring back a somewhat fleshed out character and just have another god damned good holodeck episode. Interestingly I wonder how they'll defeat him, and if Lore will play a part as he was programmed to be able to defeat Data.

Read that season 3 won't be the last time we'll get to see Riker, and that Janeway is coming back at some point.

Maybe a new show in the works? or perhaps they are doing a star wars and having lots of small mini series.

There is talk of Janeway getting her own show, although at present she voices Janeway in Star Trek Prodigy. River also appears in Lower Decks so that may continue.
