Star Trek: Picard

Wasn't there an episode of TNG where they discovered travelling at high warp speed was killing a subspace species or something, and they agreed to limit how fast they would travel (maybe stuck to warp 5)

Was that ever mentioned again in any series? As warp 9.99 seems to contradict that.

I think it was briefly mentioned a few episodes later. I've read somewhere but don't remember it being mentioned in episode that the variable geometry nacelles on Voyager for example were a fix to that issue.

Season 7 next gen there is an episode regarding warp causing damage to subspace or whatever. It then gets another nod in a voyager episode. <disclaimer> I think

“Force of Nature” is the TNG episode. I think Voyager references it in the first episode (maybe while they’re at DS9), or at least one of the early episodes.

Enjoyed episode one. Makes me wonder if
left and cut contact because she was pregnant with JL’s child and didn’t want him on the scene for some reason.

Agreed. Can't see it being an issue with all that tech.

Thats what I was thinking, hell Bones was still around in the TNG era, not sure how old he was meant to be, cba to Loogle it as I need to go walk the dog, but he was old AF and I cant remember when/if he died or it was mentioned at any TNG/DS9/VOY/LD/PIC/PRO point...

The pump action phaser was one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen.
As much as I enjoyed it the massive guns did have me thinking, now I'm far from a trekkie but didn't Star Trek used to have phasers the size of a small mobile phone that were able to disintegrate victims with one quick blast...so what's the point of these huge two handed things?!?

They had big rifles back in ToS too.

Good question, they however did also have phaser rifles in TNG & an almost identical looking phaser rifle in the movies so it's nothing new.

phaser rifles, they break them out when under a big threat that normal little phasers are to weak for, they were in voyager and ds9 as well and tos and tng.

the rifle ones are simply more powerful.

just watched the new one and wow why couldnt season one of been like this, im itching for the next one now, i really liked it :)
