Star Trek: Picard

There is a short clip of Star Trek Picard on the Graham Norton show last Friday. You can see it on iplayer, just 11:30 minutes in.

I cannot wait for this. :)

I just hope they don't go down the route of Picard "going rogue" because starfleet won't listen to him as he's too old, that's sort of the vibe i get from the trailers. One of those storylines that usually has the man that's always right suddenly being doubted for no rational reason.

I get the impression it's more a case the Federation has changed somewhat whereas he hasn't.

Would he pass a medical? Reaction time, physical ability.

He's retired in the TV show, I think the character is actually meant to be 92 years old so is older than the actor.

Maybe story with Picard is the crystalline entity, the planet killer, the brain cells, vger, whale probe, the Borg, 8742, breen, Klingons, hirogen, the Dominion, q continuum, zero, the Klingons, the romuluns, the cardissicans, the hirogen, nomad, the amoeba, Babylon 5 Shadows, vorlons and galactic alliance, the first ones, star wars Galactic empire, lexx, lexx arms, replicators, the ori, gould, the Asgardians, the wraith, the ancients, xenomorphs , predators, peacekeepers and skareen empire, Doom guy, Duke nukem, all turn up in one episode and Micheal from discovery turns up and defeats them all and saves the day with nothing but a tribble at hand.

Meh, that's about the level of quality shown by the STD writing staff for the most part...

Yeah i thought him and bev would have got married later on after tng. Also i wonder what happened to that illness he was suppose to get at old age in the last tng episode with him going through time. I wonder if that is ignored or acknowledged.

Probably will ignore, if they do acknowledge it, they can say a cure was developed. I actually hope they do acknowledge a lot of things, if they ignore a lot of things and there is no sense of connection to TNG, it will likely be one of the things that lead it to be a fail imo.
