Star Trek: Picard

Yeah i thought him and bev would have got married later on after tng. Also i wonder what happened to that illness he was suppose to get at old age in the last tng episode with him going through time. I wonder if that is ignored or acknowledged.

The irumodic syndrome was diagnosed, and his marriage to Crusher happened, in a future time line (now referred to as the anti-time future). The anti-time future was undone (un-happened?) when they closed the fissure in All Good Things. It's plausible (and im not saying it is the case, for anyone reading who still doesn't understand the difference between plausible and actual...mentioning no names) That that future timeline wont happen or, bits of it wont.

In the anti-time present (which was the present day as All Good Things was told before the closure of the fissure), Crusher said Picard didnt have irumodic, but did have a defect that could lead to it and other complications. So he could still develop the syndrome in ST: Picard. Or not. heh.

Crusher and Picard were close, but never really romantic.

Man, you know they must have at some point

:p

I know but it "could" have been in his future, thats why i brought it up incase it did develop in his actual proper future. Might not of course.

I can see it now, if the series does badly and nobody likes what they have done then they could do a Dallas:
Picard wakes up in his bed and it turns out he imagined the whole thing brought on by his irumodic syndrome.

(Hopefully Data doesn't turn up the shower)

Its already got a s2 lined up even before the first episode, or so i heard.

One thing that bugs me tho is that data would look more like data if he had his original haircut like in tng, as the new one in picard makes him look odd, i think its the haircut thats doing it. If you notice the shape on the sides to how it was and now u might see what i mean.

I'm going to reserve judgement for a while. Even if you disregard the rumours and Kurtzman being in charge just like STD, the fact that Netflix passed on this after being given first refusal is a bit of a red flag for me not to expect too much.

In the clip that was on Graham Norton, Data was in it. His hairline is slightly different to the trailer and he did look more like Data as he looked in Nemesis.

The haircut and the face shape looks a bit "off", it's like his face is too puffed out or something. Which is odd as Spiner has always been pretty slim and still is afaik.

Maybe they had to write something in to explain Brent clearly aging from Season 1 to Season 7?

I've watched a few 'classic' episodes to prepare for the new series, based on recommendations and even with the HD remaster it's sad to say that most of it has dated quite a lot.
