Star Trek: Picard

Wasn't there a....

ds9 episode with a changeling that was going about space in the form of some kind of alien? Soo..is Vadic actually dead or could "she" reform? Or maybe this newer version of the changelings don't have that ability due to their internals mimicking humans?

The conference room scene was pure fan service / 4th wall breaking but I'm here for it.
Data :heart eyes:
Spot :heart eyes: :heart eyes:

In other good news I bought the ST 10 movie collection the other week on Apple TV and it looks like they've upgraded the TNG movies to 4K for free. Watched Generations last night. Oh my.

I don't think there can be any more. I mean look at the age of the cast.

Maybe Star Trek VS Zombies, staring Picard's original body wreaking havoc while his mind resurrected in the body of Jenna Ortega?

I like how the photon torpedo's have a sound very similar to the d7's firing on V'ger in TMP, makes them sound a bit more impactful vs the "pew pew" crap that seems to more common in the new series of trek. Though I have to wonder why they're still using photons at this point when Quantum's were brought in to replace them a long time ago. Not a fan of the new ship mounted phasers we only seen briefly in one episode, just seems to be a bolt with a crap sound attached rather than a beam.

Incredibly the word "crap" is now censored...

Always amazed me how ineffective the weapons are. They have anti-matter for heavens sake. 1g of that in a photon torpedo would be more destructive than the atomic bomb that flattened Hiroshima. And what the heck, never mind a torpedo, transport it to the other ship.

I found it funny how in the first encounter with the shrike it took 3 photons basically point blank and nothing happened, yet in the next encounter they detonate a torpedo with a phaser blast a distance away from it and the shockwave sends the shrike tumbling away. Wouldn't you think that 3 point blank hits would be more devastating rather than a single photon explosion a reasonable distance from the ship? It made for a good visual but even then I was thinking "wtf". And the phaser blast in that episode looked like an actual phaser vs the 3 bolt shots the federation ships fired at the Titan.
