**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Origin Brazil, Google a guide, works without VPN once bought.

Thanks!

Ahh I see, I think for those on the fence about the game it makes more sense to VPN the standard game and then if the game turns out to be a success VPN the season pass later?

Just looked and there is no discount when buying ultimate over buying separately.

Not sure why people want to pay money for this milkmachine? You get but a few sips and then you gotta pay more. And even if you do, you still get less content than the original two games.

Heck can you even have a community in this game, or they still rolling with purely matchmaking?

Thats every so called AAA game these days though sadly, if it was a one off it would be unusual but its been like this for years.

And it aint gonna stop while people keep paying. Remember the good old days with Expansion Packs!

Actually Halo 5 DLC's will be free. There are other examples of studios who are following this trend. Hopefully BF5 will be the same but then again it's EA we're talking about :D

The issue is how do you supplement this income? Micro transactions? Advertising? I don't like DLC's because it splits the player based but gaming studios do need a way to pay for their ongoing costs.

It never used to be this way though, rather than call it free dlc just call it a 'patch' like we used to back in the day!

The income should be supplemented by making a decent game in the first place that people want to play. Let people host their own multiplayer servers and that takes some of that cost away too.

It used to work so why doesn't it work now? Because people pay through the nose for 'premium', DLC, exclusive items etc.

As much as I know free stuff isnt going to happen anymore, we made it like this buy paying out for DLC in the first place.

Has anyone here successfully bought star wars from origin Brazil? Could not get past the BoaCompra checkout wanting CPF numbers. Gave up in the end, paid about £8 more and went to origin Mexico.

That's true and I can't see them going back to how it used to be. I've actually got no issues paying for new content as long as it's not pay to win and the said content doesn't prevent others from playing. CSGO does this well.

That said, I can't see that happening with this game, EA are going to milk players as much as they can.

It's EA and has Star-Wars in the name it will be milked to its death and then some. Especially with the movie coming out as well.

Oh it'll never go back now, theres an entire generation that has grown up with it being the norm.

I'm 28 and think that when I last remember expansion packs instead of DLC was HL op for/ blue shift and the IL2 games, when they added pacific fighters, that was a whole new campaign, loads of planes and a patch in 2004.

The only thing CSGO gets right is no paid addons and a low price point, so when ther cheaters get banned they just but a new copy in the steam sale for 30p.

I mean lets not forget, CS was a free mod of a game that had no DLC, just expansion packs when it started.

It also had custom maps and modding :)

Google 'Brazillan CPF generator' for the win :D

I had googled similar and was reading comments about payments pending and then getting rejected up to a week later etc.

My brother and a mate will be buying it so will let them know it seems like it's worked for a guy on here :)
