**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

I can't believe you people are still pre-ordering EA games. Makes me feel sad

I usually wouldn't but seems like it could be a good one (aslong as it stays active) for mindless jumping in and blasting things which is a good way to unwind after a bad day at work, etc. I'll probably end up kicking myself later though.

lol agree... i said i wasn't gonna buy BF4 after the 1.5 years of problems in BF3 but gave in... nearly gave in with hardline but glad i didnt and i wont make the same mistake with this star wars junk :D when there is games uncompleted like witcher 3 and fallout 4 coming out soon ill still be busy in next 9 months.. multiplayer games have been pretty **** for a few years now!

not played any of these battlefront games, is there a single player element to it or just multi player?

No proper single player in this - there is a kind of "offline" skirmish mode versus AI on a variety of maps that can also be played in coop with a friend.

I see no problem pre-ordering via Origin mexio/Brazil etc as EA getting half the dosh! If only option was origin UK prices then I wouldn't have bought it at all

They still get the money. You just don't pay UK VAT... (or it may be less, so not 100% sure)

Can't you wait and buy later ;)

It's the concept of pre-orders. They just think they can get away with it

I avoided Hardline also despite the typical Youytubers throwing it down people's gullets

Yeah been bitten by that from EA before :( wasn't actually going to buy it at all but had a load of overtime paid at enhanced rate this month and went a bit silly spending :S

Guilty of pre-ordering also.

But I'm such a big Star wars fan, and I really enjoyed playing it in the beta.

But as a rule I try not to pre-order most games these days. And wait for price drops and the steam sales for most of the titles I buy.

It's way less, if someone pays £43 for ultimate instead £95 EA are not even getting half the dosh! ;)

£43 for a PC game is still ridiculous. Especially one that'll be bug ridden, unbalanced, full of cheats and abandoned by the developers after 6 months.

No one is forcing anyone to buy the ultimate edition, it'll be £25 for standard which is far more reasonable. Even BF2 had an expansion and booster packs! It's hardly like paying for new maps is a new thing.

What online FPS PC game are you playing that doesn't have bugs or cheats? Over the past ten years I don't think I've even played one so it's hardly even worth mentioning.

£25? Wut is dis, Russia?

Its £39.99/$49.99/€49.99 everywhere. Unless you buy from a shady keyseller where but a mere fraction goes to EA/DICE.
