**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Someones upset, I wasnt necessarily speaking just about you, you know, theres other people in the thread.

Learn to quote correctly? When I've literally spent the entire thread talking about origin Brazil and Mexico it's a bit foolish to quote me suggesting otherwise!

Its balanced as they cancel each other out./

Haha true, suggests the origin Brazil Mexico prices are the prices the game should start at :D

Just making yourself sound silly instead.

haha. You just proved to the world, you're silly.

Gamebryo and Creation Engine is the same Engine. It uses the exact same everything just slight modification. Ask any modder..

In order to make a completely new engine you gotta build it from Scratch. You dont just add DX11 support and call it a day.

Not that I want to jump in and get involved, but Creation is by no means a "slight modification" of Gamebyro...

Well as interesting and as wrong as the whole statement is, I've got better things to be doing than arguing with a 12 year old over EA's ridiculous pricing on a sunday evening.

^^

cdkeys offer the base game after 5% discount for £28. It's probably the best option for getting just the game without messing around with vpn's and the like.

So basicly you want the cake but not support the bakery.
Yep in the case of EA and what they've done to many other game series.
**** the bakery, **** the bakery in its *** and their employees.
Anyway I find it amusing how in Economically Strong countries people are so cheap they cant spend 49 on a game they'll spend probably hundreds of hours in.
Most games are so rubbish these days, I'm lucky to get an hour of fun out of them. Besides, I'm an adult now, and slowly growing up, I probably only game 3 or 4 hrs per week, who has time to play for hundreds of hours these days at an adult age?
But they can spend ~20-30 or whatever to watch a movie at a Cinema for an hour thirty.
In what world is the movies 20-30 per movie ? 15 euros per month gets you an unlimited movies cinema membership, or regular tickets are a tenner for 3d movies and less for regular.

Besides, you go to the cinema for the social aspect mostly, to go watch a movie with friends or with a date. Nobody in their right mind pays 30 for movies with newsgroups, torrents, kodi, netflix and other alternatives around.

If we talk about value for money, then a cinema card/membership is much cheaper, as is the average big chain gym ( tenner per month unlimited), or many other hobbies.
Kinda like those people that get upset when a F2P game adds microtransactions, expecting devs not to get paid.
Don't care about microtransactions myself.

There are only a few, very few games I'm willing to pay more than 45 for ( examples would be GTA 5, Skyrim, the old Battlefield games like 1942 and bf2), for most games 15-20 is my max price...

As for this game, definitely not buying it, not even sure if it's worth my time to download ( pirate). But I'm boycotting EA and origin ( after being disappointed with BF3): not Steam? I refuse to buy!

So what you're saying is, you want the game but not pay for it and the devs shouldnt get paid.

4h x56 = 224h/year.

LOL Who goes to watch a movie at a date? Theres no talking.

Cinema card is cheaper? €180/year and it nets you maybe 2h of Movies monthly because 90% of the films that come out arent even worth downloading via illegitimate means. Compare those 2h to 4h/week. And games for PC usually dont cost more than around €35-45 via legitimate eshops or physical stores.

Pirate battlefront? It has no singleplayer portion so... would be pointless?

Don't want the game and hope the devs go bankrupt is what I'm saying.

And you're in a dream world if you think 20-25 isn't enough for a game, it's more than enough if it goes mostly to devs. Many games are that price on release ( eg. Cities Skylines)

You'd be surprised...

I don't know what world you live in, but some of my mates go every 2 days... There are enough films playing. ( not me, I generally prefer watching filsm at home).

If you want to be ****ed in the *** by publishers overcharging you, that's your choice, why would Russians or so get cheaper prices ?

Pirate battlefront? It has no singleplayer portion so... would be pointless?
This is exactly why I hope the game fails, I thought the same about bf when they removed the playing with/against bots aspect since BF:Bad Company 2. BF2 was the last good game.

Why are you defending those greedy ***** from big game publishers ? Do you work for them ? I'm a software Dev myself and I can't stand the big game companies myself, they are taking the pee with the different pricing, release dates around the world, DRM, ruining a lot of game series ( milking it to the brim without any real new content/gameplay), etc...
