**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

The more I play this the better it gets. Walker assault can be epic and endor is lovely. I'm even enjoying some of the single player ones. The visuals are lovely. Pleasantly surprised.

The game run great on my modest system, except for the fact it hammers my cpu when it loads a level, causing a lot of stutter at the begining of a game until it settles down. I had the same problem in the beta, bloody annoying. It even happens on some of the singleplayer missions.

What is your modest system?

i7 970 stock 3 Ghz + 16gig ram + 750GTX 1gig here and the game runs smooth on low to med settings @ 1920.

I keep going to buy a new graphics card but then think a whole new rig is in order. Once Xmas is out the way I will start the upgrade.

Rank 12 now and still really enjoying it. Some weapons/cards need to be rebalanced but the more people start to play the objectives the better it gets.

Finally got to play this last night! Disabled Crossfire in CCC and game played smoothly with no issues at all. Good fun. Still haven't decided on what my favourite mode or map is yet. But Endor is beautiful! :)

I enjoyed playing a few rounds of this last night. Graphics are amazing, and Endor is beautiful. Spawn points are still a major issue. Need to get my jetpack and personal shield unlocked.

Am I the only one thinking what the hell they've done to the flying since the beta?

No. I noticed the mechanics have changed a fair bit. It took a good few tries to get used to changes. I did the flight assault mode to better understand how it works and managed to get to grips with it. Of course, when you're riding in Boba Fett's ship, people better watch out! :p

Vehicle control and behavior is horrendous, this is from the same guys who are so familiar with vehicles with the Battlefield series it makes me wonder what happened and how this passed QA.

Vehicle flying is too easy with a controller. all you need to do is lock on like your firing a rocket and this also auto locks the lasers aswell. So really all you need to do is shoot :(.

Yeah I'm getting my butt kicked on the ground but in the air units I'm getting 10 kills in a row no problem thanks to the controller.

The flying mechanic is horrible in this. You can't roll and the yaw is really a side strafe/yaw hybrid. If you do an Immelman turn (manual not the lame press a button auto one) you can't roll out at the top of the loop and you remain inverted until the game awkward turns you over . . . eventually. The ships would actually be easier and much more enjoyable with a normal pitch/roll/yaw mechanic over this floaty arcade crap, it is awful.

So how are people getting on with this with crossfire, I'm having the black draw distance problem I didn't have this with the beta.

This is from artur_k:

I had the same problem.

You have to disable crossfire and don't use the newest 15.11.1 driver.

To disable crossfire on r9 295x2 go to ccc and create separate game profile with default settings and go to crossfire section and where you select from different profiles there will be DISABLE profile. This solved all problems for me like black draw distance, sound problems and end of the round slowdowns/stutter.

You would have thought amd would have had this working with crossfire as it did with the beta, looks like I'm going to struggle running a single card at 4K till they sort it.

Just spent a couple of hour playing the various solo missions and had a blast, loads of fun. Would love to play a full single player game with the same quality sound and graphics. Hopefully one will be released in the near future inspired by the new trilogy of films.

This really makes me a sad panda

Are people these days not able to rely on good positioning sound + their mini map or/and are they just too lazy to put the effort into learning how to get good at a game....
