i guess it definitely a marmite thing...generally im hardcore shooter fan, but this is so much fun. I've not played many games that are arcadey shooters, but for me this is a refreshing change, so many lolz playing it.

Yea i played few hours late last night... It is good fun.. Loving the air combat had some sick dogfights with some guy who was a dfer in bf3 last night.. Took me a while to get used to controls tho.. And binding space to pitchup again is pretty handy for evading missle lock when ya countermeaures are on cooldown...
If the retail price was €49.99 with the DLCs it may have been worth it.

Bought this, mainly to show a friend what PC gaming looks like (its a looker no doubts about it) plus he loves Star Wars...
But after a few hours tonight, it feels just like mindless fun really. It doesn't feel like I am making any great tactical plays (see a bunch of enemies? throw a grenade. Don't run out in the open etc), or out skilling someone in terms of shooting.
If its at a distance, then unless they have a powerful sniper the TTK is low enough that unless you have done something stupid you can survive.
If its up close and a 50/50 stare down, there isn't much I can do to try and out wit the guy, its just a roll of the dice. So if I survive *shrug* if I die *shrug*. Respawns are so fast that sometimes its no big deal to die.
That being said.. it is fun still. Just not deep at all.

Sorry that Im not as gullible and bend over whenever a company release a new product with less content than previously and requires an additional ~50 to get a more complete experience even though its still nowhere near the previous titles.
Dont really need to own a game in order to like it very much or have strong feelings towards it.

I've already said that I don't enjoy it, doesnt mean I have to post for months on end slating games that I'm either not playing or aren't out yet.

Well I'm not a Star Wars fan and I have no feelings towards the game. Definitely not a "fanboy", as you put.

And 2 months lol, Ive been registered for about one month and the only "moaning" I did regarding the PG279Q was the AG Coating, I can see myself in it on darker content.

Been playing this for a couple of days, I'm fairly impressed but I would like to see a few changes. Ideally it would have a proper squad function like Battlefield does, and I would also like some kind of proper in game chat unless I have missed it... Feels like I just get flung into a huge battle with random other people where we all just do our own thing!
That aside the graphics are spot on, possibly the best or at least one of the best in terms of detail/smoothness. I had much fun fighting people in the X-Wing/A-Wing vs Tie Fighter/Tie Interceptor too, and my scored seemed to jump up when I started using a control pad (PS4)... I think in one round I had over 30 kills with zero deaths. Prior to that using the keyboard/mouse I pretty much sucked.
Hoping the future they will change the game slightly if possible bringing some of the missing things that should have been there from the start. Still well worth a buy though for any Star Wars fan!
