**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Anyone else having ridiculous amounts of stutter during gameplay?

I can play a game fine and then all of a sudden the next game just stutters, and I get a bad connection warning. I have fibre optic broadband, and have never encounter this before.
 
I watched on twitch and thought Wow what a game then you start to realise its so skill less, shallow and like watching a film with mouse interactions. It’s like you move your mouse over not to aim with skill but more I’d like you to kill this person oh and this one. I think it just looks like its trying to hard to simplify the game for young players to the detriment of older who want a challenge. What happens the game is left for the kids to pay who buy into the eye candy and the more experienced players move on. Who buys any DLC the more experienced players but they have moved on ,who do the kids want to emulate the older gamers so they move on and the game dies apart from a few that just want to play SW no matter what. They never seem to get the balance right with the SW games.

As the add says "Its for the players" on PS4!

They are laughing all the way to the bank if anybody actually forked over more than £20 for this.
It may be visually immersive but that does not cut it for a predominately online experience. There has to be more to it when you market to an online audience (even if casual)
Thats why the likes of GTA manage to thrive, they balls up the online experience but made sure there was still infact a playable game in there somewhere.

That real life mod almost makes you want to play the game though

simply put, dice dont make fun games anymore.
they lost it with EA as boss.

Hmm just come back to this for a quick game after not playing it since 2nd December, downloaded the latest update and DLC and now it runs like complete crap.

I'm just getting mega stuttering on any mode/map.

Did I miss something?

I found this in the patch notes

- We are aware of the lack of depth in the gameplay , so we have added a degree of stuttering which is dependent on your skill level hopefully you'll find this more challenging.

Had the same problem with the latest Nvidia Just Cause3 gameready driver updates...

I had to roll back to 358.50 due to the game being completely unplayable from stuttering problems...
 
Just short of level 45 now, and really starting to get tired of this game. But really want to push on and get level 50.

Doesn't help that tonight I ran into two hackers on two different walker assaults maps. They were just so blatant about it. I reported them both.

And there's a double XP event from the 18th until the 21st, if anyone is still interested?
 
Just purchased the game, I'm so upset that the map list is so small but other than that really nice graphics and the sound is so authentic, Glad i got it for £25 but would love to see more maps for free. Although it's EA so nah :(

Mixed feelings from me, playing with that atmosphere was great but I don't think I've ever lost interest in a game so fast before. (I've stopped playing games quicker due to them being really bad but thats another story).
 
I am getting better slowly as I dont play a lot but I too encountered a cheater yesterday. Frank_Sinartos was his name. He was bouncing about all over the place taking shots with no health reduction and one shotting everyone. I've not seen a patch for ages its as though they've left the game as is to soak up the Star Wars attention yet it needs a lot of polish. Get fed up of being stuck on glitches on Hoth where you get caught on a ********* and have to wiggle yourself free. :)
