**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Bit the bullet last night and got it. Mixed feelings indeed. If there were only some team play aspects to it, it could be really good. As it stands, it's just a free-for-all death match game that just happens to have a couple of tacked-on objectives.
I'll need to play some more to see if I can get into it.
 
Haven't played this for over a week due to playing Rainbow Six Siege, decided to give the game another blast. My feelings on the game are that it is still fun to play in short spurts, it looks and sounds amazing, scales really well on hardware, but EA /Dice really nobbled there own game by having no server browser (so Admins can ban cheaters and setup custom matches ie no over powered heroes), releasing the game with only 4 maps!!! It's EA so we all expected DLC with extra modes and maps but come on, 4 maps at release. No space battles it's Star Wars for **** sake and the lack of team play.
It's still a good game to hop on and feel the force but it could have been something special if EA/Dice had listened during the alpha/beta and gave us the game we deserve ;)

I was thinking about getting this game until I read your post and saw it only has four maps. Pretty shocked at this.
 
Played for 2 hours last night and now that I've got a decent gun I'm enjoying it a lot more. Previously I was averaging 5 kills and 20 deaths but now I'm 2:1 the other way.

Game depth still sucks but I enjoy playing now I can actually kill people!

Yeah same here, the standard rebel blaster 290-something is the first decent gun I've had in my hands so far. The E-11 will be the next best I guess.

Ion rocket and thermal detonators seem to be a good combo too.
 
Once you have the DL-44 you don't need to look at anything else unless you like long range sniping sorta thing.

Game really needs a patch to sort out the balance issues, I mean come on the empire never wins anymore now that everyone has good stuff. Endor is just a joke.

They never seem to get the balance right with the SW games.

Does everyone using a gamepad get auto-aim?
 
The double points helped this weekend. Its true better guns and you get more kills. I seem to be lasting longer. Best moment so far on endor as rebels on walker assault tossing a thermal grenade into a beacon encampment near end of map and taking out 5 hard to kill empire then going on for team to take out walker and turn I into a win.
 
Got this in the origin sale. It's fun for an hour two like call of duty but with decent graphics and sound. Player count if the numbers are true is really low though :(
