Has anyone got Dolby Atmos working yet?

When I play with the 5.1/7.1 option the surround works well and it uses all the speakers but when I try to use Dolby Atmos my receiver shows the Dolby Atmos symbol on the display but I only get sound coming out of 1 speaker (left front).
I know my receiver can decode Atmos properly becuause it worked with a Blu-ray.

I'm using Windows 7. Outputting sound from my graphics card through HDMI to my A/V receiver (Denon AVR-x2200W).

Do you need to have Dolby Digital Live running even though it's bit streaming? I can use Dolby Digital Live with my sound card but it doesn't have an HDMI output so I can't use it for Atmos.

Is anyone else able to get it working? What O/S are you using?
I wonder if using Windows 10 would solve this because I believe it has Dolby Digital built into it.

It's working now. Dolby Atmos coming out all the speakers. Not sure whether it was a Windows 7 update, battlefront/ nvidia drivers update or because I had my sound card set to Dolby Digital Live (though I'm not using any of the sound card outputs) or something else but it's fixed.

Varkanoid, I can't really show off. I just wanted to try Atmos on a 7.1 set up. I'd love try out a real atmos set up.

Origin problem

While playing Star Wars Battlefront i noticed that one of my friends had went missing off my list!
I tried to send him a friends invite but it says that his profile was private so i gave him a call and he said that his list wasn't private and mine was, so i double checked and mine was set at private where i changed it back and he did the same but when ever either of us try to add each other it always says that they are private!

Has anyone else had the same problem ?

no, only time I have seen private or "offline" is when I lookup a player and report them for cheating. :(
 
This info is to help people follow the actual graphics modders of SW Battlefront and not download one of the many copy cat mods that are surfacing on youtube etc. claiming to be the modders.


There are 3 main modders making SweetFX / Reshade graphics mods for Star Wars Battlefront right now...

* Toddyhancer made by Martin Bergman (reddit username is Toddyftw I think)
* Real Life Mod by Jackfrags (Jackfrags credits Owen Wilson2 in his video)
* T Mimic by Owen Wilson2


At this time, I think ONLY Owen Wilson2 has released his mod for public download. The other two have not UNLESS, Jackfrags is also known as GloriousPCMasterRace on the SweetFX database. (need confirmation on this)

TODDYHANCER (by Martin Bergman) has NOT released his mod yet!

He is making graphics mods for SW Battlefront and GTAV, so far he has only released a short video showing the GTAV mod, no SWBF movies, just a collection of screenshots from his Build 1 and Build 2 of the mod.

Is there any real point of trying to make a silk purse out of sows ear, I don't think anybody really has a problem with the GFX, it's the lack of maps/gameplay etc. that make this a dissapointment

Hmmm yeah got to level 24 and I`m getting bored.

Needs more ^free content at least.
 
Had a better night than last night at least it didnt seem like everyone was using aimbot.

However to show how badly this game needs fixing check the screenshot out. Unfortunately its not very good but it should show you what happened. (everytime I got nearer I got shot).

The rear walker got blown up and crashed into the forward walker causing that one to skew to the left and then get caught on the one that crashed. You can just about see the front walker in the screenshot facing left instead of looking down the valley with the other one behind. It then looked like the front one was humping the crashed one and it just got stuck. The game continued for about half an hour because also even though we capture the points no Y Wing bombers came to get the walkers. The other weird thing was the control points got moved down the valley but the Imperial spawn points were right back at the very beginning. The rebels could get all the way upto the hangar part without meeting any Imperials. It was very strange.

So rebels couldnt win because the bombers didnt come and the imperials couldnt win because the front walker was hung up having rumpy pumpy with the back crashed one. Game must have continued on for about 30 minutes then got kicked off the server. When came back on a new game had started. It was very funny. Just wish I had got better screenies.

Star Wars Battlefront

Often I'm playing Battlefront i get game freeze or my system crashes!
Some times on startup it jutters to the point i have to get killed a few times to play properly!
I am using Crimson Edition 16.1 on my MSI R390X
Anyone else having problems or suggest a fix?
 
I used to get the bad stutter after first stating a match and in menus (huge cpu usage/spikes) but it didn't occur on more recent amd drivers. I'm currently using 15.12 with only a 7950 and I can pretty much max out the graphics no problem.

Perhaps try DDU (display driver uninstaller) to wipe clean your graphics drivers then reinstall. I only install the display driver and leave the rest of the stuff like amd settings/raptr etc alone, maybe see if that helps too.

Best to post this kinda thing in the dedicated games threads that already exist too.

I have the same problem as you with a msi r9 270x . Are you using windows 10 ?
 
Got this for xmas and think it is pretty good fun. Fighter Squadron is a great laugh - shame there are no space maps though. A death star assault map for fighter squadron would be pretty good fun.

I agree, a space based map would be great fun. I wonder if they will bring out a new version of X-Wing?
