**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Yeah it's definitely well optimised. I'm running at Ultra with 150% DSR and I'm regularly hitting my FPS cap of 100. I normally hang in the high 70-90s. That's with a 970 though.

Yes, BF4 runs very very well on my rig despite the resolution I play at but, it's minimum graphics requirement is only 512MB.

Looking on the Battlefront box the requirement (I assume it means minimum requirement) is clearly 2Gb which I'm short of.

I'm not sure Origin will give a refund if I state graphics ram as my reason to return it as the requirement is clear from what I can see.

New cards required ultimately,I know, but given everything else runs just fine I'm not upgrading for one title just yet.

Need to wait for a 580 owner to drop by this thread I guess....

not really rocket science is it for the reason. They dont need to invest a lot of creative time in it to draw punters in because of the little film on the cinema that has took $1 Billion plus. They will be living off sales of people buying the game for most of 2016.

The dlc's may satisfy the console crowd they never give two hoots about the PC. I think we are lucky to get a game at all. Makes you wonder whether they saved a lot of money marketing this game as they really didnt need to.

Yea. Sad times for Star Wars games, they were always pretty good when Lucasarts were around. This overpriced trash is probably what EA is going to keep shoveling annually for the next decade, like they now do with Battlefield :(

Surprisingly they don't have the rights to the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series though, somehow Raven Software still own it. So maybe someone GOOD (and moral) can do something with that!

Just done a google search on the hacks people use and they are easy to see so why isnt EA shutting them down! What gauls you even more is that these people are making money out of the hacks.
Reported another 65 kill 0 dead high scorer that has their status as "offline".
Not noticed 'ol Frank about though maybe they got banned finally.
 
Not come across an obvious hacker yet in my 10 hours of play thankfully.

Lots of people purely going for K/d rather than the team win which leaves them with a high score buts thats down to EA to balance the game better.

Would love to see another of those games that had the visuals of SWBF but gameplay design iterating on the original games.
 
Is anyone else having issues getting in to Origin ?.....all I get is " Origin has encounted a serious problem and must close " ..been on and off like that for about a week ?
 
It's been fine here the few times I've played SWBF over the Xmas break.

Try installing Origin over itself?
 
fine finding a game, but having an awful time doing anything other than get smashed by no-lifers at any opportunity.

I'm relatively ok at fps games but this seems to be either heavily rubber banded or there's rife hacking. Any time I get in the air i'm dead within 30 seconds, usually blown up by one guy who spends the entire game in an xwing....

this game NEEDS a better matchmaking system at the very least, or a server browser or else it'll die within the year.

the visual novelty has worn away and i've given up trying to squeeze any fun out of it.
 
I haven't played for about 2 weeks. Got to 50 and I'll admit I was bored before that happened.

I might go back at some point...I might.

Soooo.....I uninstalled the drivers for my HDX sound card and booted up my PC and low and behold origin started up no problem...so im gonna reinstall my games and see what happens
