**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Had a better night than last night at least it didnt seem like everyone was using aimbot.

However to show how badly this game needs fixing check the screenshot out. Unfortunately its not very good but it should show you what happened. (everytime I got nearer I got shot).

The rear walker got blown up and crashed into the forward walker causing that one to skew to the left and then get caught on the one that crashed. You can just about see the front walker in the screenshot facing left instead of looking down the valley with the other one behind. It then looked like the front one was humping the crashed one and it just got stuck. The game continued for about half an hour because also even though we capture the points no Y Wing bombers came to get the walkers. The other weird thing was the control points got moved down the valley but the Imperial spawn points were right back at the very beginning. The rebels could get all the way upto the hangar part without meeting any Imperials. It was very strange.

So rebels couldnt win because the bombers didnt come and the imperials couldnt win because the front walker was hung up having rumpy pumpy with the back crashed one. Game must have continued on for about 30 minutes then got kicked off the server. When came back on a new game had started. It was very funny. Just wish I had got better screenies.

That screenshot taken on a King Edwards or a Maris Piper? :D

Further to my worrying if my 1.5Gb GTX 580's (SLI) would cope with this (given the 2Gb minimum requirement) I downloaded this last night and it runs beautifully despite my aged rig (i7 870 @3.8) the looks, sound and atmosphere of this is epic Star Wars, very limited in scope ultimately it has to be said and were it not for the Star Wars aspect of it I would have given it a miss.

But, from a Star Wars fans perspective it's great and I like it very much.

Just very puzzled by the minimum specs posted for it, they seem way off, my SLI 580's running Nvidia Surround @ 5760x1080 is giving me a solid 60-100fps, I've lowered textures to low (assuming that would be where my bottleneck would lie) but,it still looks awesome.

I doubt it'll be a long term game like Battlefield 3 & 4 are, but, for a quick hours blasting about in Star Wars fantasy land, I love it! :D

Are hackers fairly rife in this? Pretty sure i was playing against one earlier. Literally got one shot killed by a bloke using an E11 blaster constantly. I just can't see how he could be killing me that quickly with that gun (and racking up a silly k/d ratio) without something untoward going on.

He would see me, fire and i was dead instantly from the first shot and there was nothing i could do about it.

Getting this a lot myself, tbh I put it down to my noobishness! :o

On the other hand, I tend to drop people I though had me cold, it goes both ways to an extent but hackers are plain to see in this, much more than BF4 imo, hopefully EA will fix it, yeah, right! :/

I bit bullet paid £54 for ultimate version from mexico which is same as deluxe edition from uk..I think it was £24 for standard... I used chrome etc...

I've noticed it getting harder to find a game in the last week or so as well. Does origin track online player stats like steam? I couldn't find it anywhere.

Started using the DL44 lately...assuming they aren't at long range it's so damn powerful. Rather liking it. Played a 66 kill game with it on Jakku, it was glorious. Sadly I've not been able to replicate that one amazing game but I can hope. Normally I'm mid-upper mid scoreboard but have the odd bad game as well.

lol what an amazing player count.

Still, my 25 mins playtime means its worked out at about £60 per hour 'entertainment' value so far.

That's steep! I got £2.50 per hour out of it (12 hours total of gameplay). Don't think I can squeeze anymore 'entertainment' value out of it. It will now collect virtual dust into the unforeseeable future.

Why don't you ask the creator of the site who might actually know?

http://www.my1a.de/

https://de.linkedin.com/in/dominikherbst

I think it is safe to say it is legit unless of course you can prove that he is lying and that he just made up all those sites with random numbers....

Contacted him via Linkedin.

Question was asked on their forums, answer:

We can't share how we do it. The numbers are fetched every 5 minutes from EA servers

Told you it was pixies.
