**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Having played CSGO for a solid 9 months trying to ADS feels weird as hell unless it's an AWP. No issue with hip firing here, not that it matter DICE will ruin this game anyway so "do what you feel is right, of course"

I do, but I always find it funny how the gaming community (well, streaming community) have such an impact, ADS, I'd never heard the term until recently, and I've been gaming for decades.

'Hype' is another stream thing. It's like being in a school sometimes lol. I don't mind, just find it silly.
 
I still play Battlefront II and I like how simplistic (call it casual/arcady if you like) and fun it is. I hope the new one keeps it simple too.

I went off modern shooters years ago when perks/xp/killstreaks/loadouts and all that bs got way out of hand.
 
Sw a trailer for the pc version, it looks super sped up i hated the way it played. Its like some other games where it looks well sped up like 200fps. Console version looked more playable lol at e3 than the pc version which i assume animations are tied to framerate so if u had 200fps it looks super fast. :(

View the diff between 30fps normal utube vid and the 720p 60fps. Tbh i think its just a video that was 30fps originally and in saving the video in sony vegas or whatever was made to 60fps so it looked better than consoles fps wise. Tho it looks unplayable and id never play somit that sped up. If it really plays like that on pc then screw it. Its just like other competitive pc titles where somehow the more fps u have the faster the game seems to play like bf3 or counterstrike i think does it too and cod titles.

The one i hate is "get rekt" or just "rekt". Im obviously too old for this gaming speak.

Anyway, i actually found Battlefront to be a bit meh if im honest. Along with the fact it'll need a year worth of patches before it is in a suitable state. I dunno, im getting more and more annoyed about these reskinned new games.
 
Battlefront was nice, would be refreshing to have a Game that wasn't bogged down with all the trappings of the Post COD:MW world where you have to play hundreds of hours to unlock everything.

Just straight up simple, accessible fun being in a Star Wars film but playing it. That's what battlefront was all about.

Sadly I think it's likely the BF style unlocks will be there, but I sincerely hope not.

Very much doubt the animation engine is tied to the rendering rate, engine programming lesson #1 : don't tie your logic to frames! I think it's just that we're not used to seeing 60fps trailers.
 
I think i'll reserve judgement until i see more than a short console vid and a very short PC vid.

If it does turn out to be crap i still have battlefront 2 on steam and haven't played it in years.
 
I absolutely adored the original star wars battlefront/battlefront2. At the time I could not afford it due to being young and at school. So I saved up my lunch money my parents gave me and ended up buying it with that. :) Was worth the hunger!

But like the general conciseness on this forum I will reserve judgement until I play it. I have been burnt by Hype to many times to count!
 
Well, I look forward to it. I like Star Wars.

But I won't preorder at full price and pay for premium on top.

Did that with bf4, and still feel a bit ripped off. Even if I did enjoy it.
