**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Think a lot of people have to experience the game themselves rather than go by someone else's opinion. Personally i think it looks awesome and from the streams so for on the beta the gameplay looks what i expected to be. Cant wait :D

Been playing this early this morning, the graphics are incredible and it runs super smooth too on my aging system (i5 2500K 8GB DDR3 HD7950). The gameplay may not be deep but it's fun. Im glad it's not BF5 and I'm loving it.
 
I am thoroughly impressed, play it last night for around 3 hours. Everything, the graphics, movement, sound, gameplay is just fantastic. Can't wait to play later - as I said DICE can't afford to mess this up and they didn't so far.
 
No doubt the game is fun for a quick blast every now and then but the problem is, with the lack of skill to the game, there will be no longevity to it.

I seriously hope to god that they have fixed the OP AT's and tie fighters too....

Also, it is good to see all the ronku sponsored lot on youtube hyping the beta up big time, I wonder if after 2 months of release will they all be back to battlefield 4 videos and stating how battlefront had potential and singing a different song about it much like flatline....

Anyway, game is preloading, my new wireless adapter arrived just in time!

I have a bad feeling about this...

Will be interesting to see how the "hero" character stuff works in practice though... I mean it's a pretty poor indictment of the jedi/sith to see a lightsabre weilding vader/luke stride out onto the battlefield, mow down a few enemies who had no chance and then just "pffffp"... faceplant in the snow as they eventually get taken out by a hail of blaster shots... That seems like it will feel a bit silly... On the other hand they can't have them be super ridiculously hard to kill or it would just seem unfair... Do they just last a set amount of time and then "run off"? (also seems silly) How exactly does it work?

Disappointment?... dude it's incredible. There is far too much negativity surrounding this game and viral negativity spreads. Hopefully once you've all played and see that it's not as bad as envisioned you'll change your minds :-)

They have a constantly decreasing Health bar. Killing people slows the decrease speed but taking hits obviously reduces it.
 
This doesnt have bf style leveling up does it like unlock weapons or things but instead its more like old battlefront where u just picked classes and had set weapons no leveling up for more powerful weapons? As i hate that in modern games like cod and bf. Also will it be as good vs bf1? Especially co-op modes?

I played the alpha and the beta doesn't look much, if any different :p


And yes, as I said before, it easily is the best game for audio and graphics but the gameplay is the problem, I love star wars but even that can't save the "gameplay" for me personally.
