****Star Wars: Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker - Official Thread****

That literally answers nothing from the previous film :p

But then Ryan states himself that he tried to give exactly the opposite of what the fans wanted. Complete muppet.

All it did was kill off most things that Abrams had set up, baffling how he was allowed to do this.

I think it is because the bombers dropped bombs in zero g.

The modular bombing magazine would drop the bombs through sequenced electromagnetic plates in the clip, which propelled the bombs to "drop" in microgravity environments. The bombs would then be drawn magnetically to their targets.

They were not.
This wasn't indicated, this didn't happen.
A fan wrote this after the film to explain away the absurd nature of the concept of the bomber.

It remains ***** on a stick.

That's lifted straight from the official Star Wars book.

I have my fingers in my ears and I am singing to myself, so your force powers won't work upon me!!!!!

The MG-100 StarFartess is a ridiculous concept, and magnetic attraction plates would suggest the damn thing didn't need to be overhead to drop directly onto a target below unless the ships were indeed designed for missions within an atmosphere...… where there is gravity, and indeed all the civilian listed alternative concepts seem to fully endorse the use of gravity for 'drops'.
Muppets can't even write their own fanfiction.

There's a high res version of that poster that's been leaked now, see below.

People are saying its real, for product marketing, not the actual movie poster. Done by Brian Rood apparently.
