I did wonder that too, if they did wait until then I would totally understand. Let the Endgame hype die down a little first. Everyone seems to be 'predicting' a trailer at celebration though. Based on nothing by the looks of it!

I’ll go and see this as it’s Star Wars, I enjoyed The Force Awakens but hated TLJ (loved Rogue One, hated Solo), and will always be the eternal optimist where SW is concerned.

Isn’t there normally a preview trailer at these events often days or weeks before a public trailer just to build up the hype and justify charging for the event?

I would love it if JJ simply started Ep 9 from the end of Ep 7, and acted as if Ep 8 simply didn't exist.

For the first time ever I'm really not bothered about Star Wars. It's a real shame as I have been addicted to it from seeing the original A New Hope. I'm pretty much done with them now.

I am super hyped by starwars. I loved both films ( apart from how they did luke over) and just lap up anything star wars!
