I know Han's Blaster is based around a Mauser, but please say that these are a joke.

Glock with AR frontsight mounter on top. These two just look ridiculous.

That latest TV spot really made think more highly of Finn as a character. I had a weird suspicion that he was going to be a kind of stumbling, in over his head, 2D character. Someone made to appeal more to a brand new audience who are coming in to SW for the first time and looking through his eyes. However he seems more appealing after that TV spot focussed on him and I'm now more interested in seeing how his character develops.

The Bane trilogy, although it may or may not be canon anymore is a brilliant read. Some of the best stuff from the old EU and a great explantion why he came up with the rule of two. Bane and the rule of two is canon if not the exact story. :)

Well worth a read :)

Halfway trough the first book, and so far, so good :)
Still can't stop laughing at how his real name is Des :D

Not sure how they look ridiculous, most of the star wars weapons were just older guns with bits and pieces added. mg34 was used as a storm trooper blaster.

What part of my post makes you think that I'm 'upset' over a few inanimate movie props? Are we not allowed to criticise and poke fun at things if we think they look **** anymore?

I think because you were being pedantic about the firearms. When in reality you won't see them in that much detail anyway when watching the movie, so it's not something most would really see as an issue.. but, each to their own I guess!

Just had a look at booking ticket for the gap between xmas and new year (not available yet though), but noticed a 3d option .

I hadn't realised it was available in 3d - do people still watch stuff in 3d?

I'm planning on taking the boy - at age 5 I don't think the 3d would really work for him, but unfortunately about 75% of the screenings are 3d. Cuts the options down a bit.
