Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

You would have thought that by patching the consoles to now run at a smooth 60fps on performance mode it would translate over to the PC and fix the stuttering? Instead they have just added DLSS and frame generation...

It's like DF's Alex said, they're barely doing QA for the PC version. Even a basic thing like navigating the main menu UI doesn't work unless you use a gamepad for some things as the mouse and keyboard become unresponsive.

Shame really, as I loved the 1st game and aside from some traversal stutters, it was generally smooth for me. Guess I won't be touching this until they fix it.

Aren't there plans to bringing this game to last gen just like Hogwarts Legacy?

I gave up on this game, I could just about manage to get into the game story and play style, and put up with the visual style. But the random crashing and stuttering just nailed the coffin lid shut, the game just wasn't good enough to make me bothered to push through.

Surprisingly, going by the average poster here, I had very few issues despite running a ‘crippled’ 3080 10G at 1440p Ultrawide. Sure the FPS could, and possibly should have been better and there were a few dips here and there but in terms of crashes and stuttering I experienced very little issues. I did use two months of EA Play Pro rather than buy outright but I was finding the game fun and engaging and performance acceptable.

It was mostly ok if you turned off ray tracing, at least for me , still had shader stutters of course but nothing we can do about that as shader comp is quite obviously not working
as Alex has shown.

It's the mouse/keyboard not working as expected in something as basic as the menus that simply cannot be excused, especially given the timeframe passed since the last patch. They simply did not test it on a PC.

Lol, why? Why! The stutterfest on PC isn't even fixed yet ancient console grift is all fine?

Additionally, EA says the PC version - which Digital Foundry called "the worst PC port of 2023" - will be recieving an update "in the coming weeks". This promises "enhancements to the game's technical performance, controls and more", as well as various quality of life improvements.

Outside of the performance issues, it's a really fun game with an enjoyable story. Always great that they're bringing it to more platforms - although not entirely sure how 11 year old consoles are going to handle it...

I had very few issues on my playthrough on PC when it came out. Sure, FPS wasn't great, 45-55 (RTX 3080 10gb, 5950x, 3440x1440p) but it felt smooth and responsive.

Seems to work fine on my rig (3080 10gb and 5800x at ultrawide)

No occasional stutter at all?

Not so for me with my 5950X/4090, though I’m running it at 4K, that really shouldn’t make a difference. It’s not often but it happens still.

Not really, only game stuttering right now is COD occasionally, but that is running off an old hd
