Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

Finished it today,

Just the little side quests and map exploring tondo now.

Not really sure I'm that interested in doing anymore tbh

The story opened up more questions about the star wars canon universe than close them, imo,

I need to find a game with a similar style of gameplay now, as I felt this was exactly what I like in a game minus the buginess

The latest patch (Patch 6) for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor arrives today for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S.

fair bit of disappointment about this on reddit. Other than the bounty hunter fix there's nothing much in there; notably performance issues, which is starting to make the community think it's never coming.

I've had to give up playing this, even though I was starting to have fun with it.

It's just one big stutter mess. My return visit to Koboh is now just horrendous. And I'm only 20+ hrs in :(
The 4090 and 13700k are barely being utilised, even with everything maxed out, and the game actually runs smoother with FSR disabled... Is this an AMD tactic to nobble Nvidia?

Any tips, to get a smooth gameplay?
Dropping resolution to 1440 doesn't change much either, the engine just uses the hardware less while still being choppy.

Fingers crossed it seems to be running smoothly for me (90fps, stutter is rare) on a 7800X3D + RX6800. Using 1440p, epic, RT off, FSR Quality (switching FSR off results in around 65fps though it's still quite smooth).

Based on the reviews and my experience of Fallen Order I thought it was going to be really terrible. Enjoying the game itself/ story very much! (7hrs in).

I played through it when it first came out and it was a stuttery mess then. Sad to see they haven't learnt any lessons since the first game either.

Are you streaming? If so, use a second GPU to handle the streaming. And how much RAM are you using? I've seen streamers use over 20 GB.

No streaming, just straight forward evening gameplay. I've even tried updating to the latest drivers, with no appreciable effect.
Windows update is turned off, so I know that hasn't changed anything. And yet all my other AAA titles run high frames and super smooth gameplay.

I'll have a mess around this evening, I might even go back to my older drivers that seemed to give better performance but means the game crashes to desktop randomly.

Oh and this is the first title that I've seen allocated over 20GB of Vram! Just ludicrous

If I'm playing this on EA Play Pro, and then redeem a code for the game, will that unlock the game and keep progress once the EA Play Pro month ends?

I’d assume so, yes. Pro does give you a small discount too.

can’t say I had much stutter in general gameplay. 32GB 3200MHz, 5950x and a 3080 10GB at 3440x1440p.

Ran perfect for me from day 1, bar 1 or 2 graphic glitches. I turned far off but had everything else at max settings, consistent smooth 90+FPS @1440p, RT off as didn't notice any difference

I'm on Ryzen 7700x and rx6800xt though, so don't know if being all and makes a difference

Think I had one major bug where I had to revert to a save, apart from that and the well documented stutter between parts on the map my experience has been good (10700k & 3080).
