Star Wars: Skeleton Crew (Disney+)

Wasnt Going to bother watching any of this but I caved in last night and I’m glad I did, i watched all 3 episodes back to back and I really enjoyed it , like a lot of people have said it has a bit of a 90s family movie about it , very light hearted humour and didnt feel
forced (no pun intended) have no real complaints at all

‘Don’t touch ANYTHING!’

The last SW show I liked was Mando so I went into this hoping it would be Space Goonies as a friend stated, and it kinda was. I am enjoying this but the main kid needs a slap for being easily led.
Lol.

So far it has respected the goonies tradition. It does feel like the suburbs of starwars without trying to be starwars which works well.

It has the promise of being a decent offshoot as long as they don’t try to milk it for more episodes. Start, middle and end is what a story needs.

It would be interesting to know the history of the crashed ship and what happened to the 'pirates' or if any crew members escaped and lived among the residents of at attin

I'm giving this a shot.

A lot of people are saying "goonies in space" but honestly I'm getting Treasure Island vibes a lot more after watching the first three episodes. It's surprisingly enjoyable so far, definitely more focused toward children but still endearing enough for adults. I like how they're actually embracing the "diversity" of the Star Wars universe rather than hamfisted real world stuff. Seeing the different alien races and droids taking a prominent position is a lot of fun, makes me think of KOTOR 1 and 2.

I'm very, very critical of modern Star Wars but I'm actually quite enjoying this.

There’s some straight up 80’s early 90’s cinematography. When they were in the storm drain entering the space shape was a complete money shot. Little throwback to the Explorers!

Episode 5 had an indy Jones vibe to it. Enjoyed this episode with Jude's character back to scheming self.

These are encouraging comments that indicate that someone went to great lengths to keep kathleen kennedy as far away from the project as possible.
