Did people see Question Time last night?

Geoff Hoon speaks well doesnt he?

He answered questions without hesitation because he didnt need to try and make things up. He just spoke the truth.

I didn't like that Independant journalist. Not because she was anit-war, but because she seemed to act as though she was right and that was that. Had no time for anyone else IMO

Geoff Hoon on the other hand. LEGEND!!! :D

Have to agree, Geoff Hoon is proving himself to be a very good speaker, and has been very impressive to date..

Journalist, female, anti-war, not having time for anyone else's opinions...sounds familiar, could be one of thousands...

:D

"What kind of audience is this?!" - silly cow :D

I've seen her before, she's a head doer, the way she sits tutting and shakking her head and can't let anyone speak. Was quite funny when David Dimbleby told her off. :D

Shock horror, guess what Hoon was before he became an MP. A lawyer.

Knew he must have been something like that, just by the way he spoke. These clever people! Gotta love em!! hehe

I assume you are saying this is a good thing that Hoon used to be a lawyer?

As you said, he presents his case well, surely this is exactly what you want in a politician? Id certainly rather my MP was an ex-lawyer than someone couldnt string 2 sentences together

Oh i get it, lawyers are evil, scum of the earth etc etc, well good stuff, cos Im gonna be one in a couple of years so look out.....:D

Not quite but if it was terrorism rather than the missile as stated by the Kuwaiti police then the **** may hit the fan in a big way.

Is there any more info on that hijacked plane?

From Sky:

A hijacker with explosives strapped to his body has forced a Turkish plane to land in Athens, according to reports.

The man seized the Turkish Airlines flight at 8pm GMT after taking off from Istanbul on a domestic flight to Ankara.

Up to 203 people are thought to be on board.

The governor of Istanbul said the hijacker, who is thought to be in his 20s, had no links to any terrorist group and appeared to be depressed.

"We definitely do not (believe) this individual is involved with a terrorist organisation. It appears this is someone who is depressed, he is saying he has some troubles with his family," Muammer Guler said in a statement.

The plane first diverted course and began heading toward the Aegean coastal city of Izmir, but it later changed began heading toward Greece, Ankara television reported.

Several senior Turkish bureaucrats were reported to be on board the flight, a regular shuttle between the country's two biggest cities.

Lots of civilians seem to be fleeing Basra.

Also - Here is a pic of the damage from the market.

Some guy on the news says it is much too small to be from a cruise missile or even most of the other bombs we are using.

The respect that we offer to our service dead is amazing. I've never seen anything like it.

It makes you proud to have these men and women serving this country.

I hear the Iraqis are using suicide bombers now. That's really gonna **** things up for the coalition forces, and the majority of the non-hostile iraqi people.

Edit - sorry Yadobber, didn't see your post :)

But if it WAS suicide bomber(s) then we'll have no choice but to fire upon anyone approaching our forces. (so it was reported on the bbc news)
