Never bought a game of steam in my life

Well consider me interested after that video, looks like the perfect experience for me 
Oh sod Win10 then if its an MS store exclusive, I'm more than happy to wait.
In 2014 they signed a multi year deal with M$. Can't see M$ allowing an exclusive title to appear on Steam until that deal has expired. When that will be is anyone's guess. Hopefully no more than 5 years (meaning a 2019 Steam release), or people waiting for a Steam release are in for a long wait.
By that, I take it you don't use Windows 10.
Neither do I.
When Undead Labs' can release it on Steam, it will more than likely see compatibility for 7/8.1 as well as 10. Windows 10 only requirement, was almost certainly at the request of M$, just as it was with Quantum Break. That was released some time later on Steam with 7/8.1 compatibility, so there is hope.

I'm playing it again as I found Surviving Mars too boring, Just finishing KCD & waiting on FC5 to release.
To be honest it's looking it's age and console origin and requires 3 cfg files edited in the game directory to get it to work on UW monitors plus there's shadow glitches as a result. Still great idea with the base & people management mixed with the resource searching and surviving the hoards. Combat is a bit frustrating as you get mobbed easily and never have enough stamina
Hopefully SOD2 expands on all those aspects.

From the footage it's appears to be limited by the XBOX capabilities but that doesn't put me off as the game play will define it. If I'm able to get some enjoyment from the dated SoD 1 then I'll certainly try it.

I liked the first, but only during the initial 5 hours or so. Setting up base, exploring, material runs, all was good. And then you start noticing everything else, the poor quality, the poor performance, the half-finished missions, the glithces. The second half of the game feels like a drag.
Hoping for a good second game, but will wait for reviews.
