Steam IS coming to OS X

In typical Valve style, TF2 for the mac has been announced for tomorrow!

http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=3923&p=1

Big things are happening RIGHT NOW at Valve. Things involving cultivated tree-fruit. BIG things. Things that rhyme with "grapple." Things that rhyme with "Speem Gortress zmavailable on the Babac."

Not today. But tomorrow. BIG THINGS. Stay tuned...

Stay tuned for what? That's as good an announcement as any :p:D

Anyone playing HL2 on the 27" iMac? What are the best settings?. At max res I'm getting a lot of stuttering probably due to insufficent ram on the graphics cards.

It's here!

Just appeared in my account; kept logging off and then on again.

:D

BTW it's 1:37pm here. :)

Open up Steam and press cmd + ,

After that go to the downloads tab and change your location. It will prompt you to restart steam. Do so and your download should begin. I selected Manchester and it started downloaded. Currently going at 45kb/s but that's just because of my connection. Should be done for tomorrow morning :D

Mwahaha ny plan has worked..

Whilst the Japanese are sleeping/working.. I'm Ninjaing their Steam servers for TF2 :D Comfortable 500-600KB/sec

cmd + ,
go to "Download" in the preferences
Select a new location (ie japan)
restart steam (it will ask to)
click 'play' to give the download a poke..

Just had a 77MB update to TF2.

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Fixed training servers showing up in the server browser for other users
Fixed a crash related to level changes while playing a game with bots
Fixed a potential crash on startup
Remove debug "crash" command on dedicated servers

Alright, I'm impressed. TF2 runs brilliantly on OS X, performance on par with Windows. Why the hell couldn't they get it right with their earlier releases?

Just a bummer I have to go to work, instead of lording it up around 2fort all day. :(
