Steam Summer Sale 2016 set for 23rd June for two weeks

Wasteland 2 (50% off) and Xcom 2 (33% off) both on sale right now on steam, am I probably better waiting for the sale for better savings?

In my experience anything that's been for sale around the time of the Steam sale will be no cheaper in the sale.

There are no guarantee's but if I were you I would purchase now.

Check isthereanydeal.com which will show you the lowest prices games have been sold for at specific sites.
You can also get the Enhanced Steam addon if you use Chrome or one of the many browsers based on it, which adds this information directly to the product page. It's very handy.

And at the same time managed not to support the dev.
Good on you!

 he bought a copy that is official, not pirated and bought at one point from a proper source? The dev and publisher got paid at some point.

What you really should have said is 'And at the same time managed not to line Gabe's pockets by buying from steam'

Completely agree. There was a huge debate before on the grey market on this forum.

Anyone who doesn't shop around has more money than sense. I buy from GMG, CD keys etc all the time.

Steam sales have been very meh of late, the lack of daily/flash deals have made things stagnant, and a lot of the deals can be found cheaper else where. I may pick up superhot if it gets a hefty discount but other than that I'll probably skip this one.

I know what you mean, now it's the same deals throughout the sale, so check on day 1 and it's all over. It's a shame, they used to be much more interesting than they are now.

Sorry to tell you this but Steam get a cut of it anyway. Anything that activates on their platform, will generate them revenue no matter where the key ends up.

Though +1 on the shooting down of the 'not supporting the devs' nonsense.
