Steam Summer Sale 2017 - 22nd June

Steam is worth $2.5/3 Billion, I think they could afford to upgrade their servers. Steam is region based too.

The download servers are separate from what handles the store page, users downloading games and software won't affect the store.
its not viable. that's the point.

thinking about this:
you have to rent a Audio R8 for 365 days, But you can only use the power 4 days a year when you go to the track, would you rent said car? No you wouldn't unless your mad.

should they pay out millions for just a few days of issues on their store? No. its Silly Wasted Money. ID much rather tem spend the Extra Money they save on Steam UI/Feature development

My PP takes money straight from my bank also. Did you save the deal page earlier before it expired?

this needed to be done if you wanted to get the £5,
and you needed to have done it by early yesterday evening because they had reached the maximum number of redemptions and expired the deal,
they had a limit of 4,800 redemptions so the deal only lasted for a day or so

Doh! New absolutely nothing about that.... Just thought it would all be automatic? So I needed to go somewhere and do something before hand?

So I've missed out?

Prey? Watch dogs 2? Wildlands?

For steam link.

id say maybe not wildlands if it require uplay to launch too? i had the division and tried it via steam link. it just wouldnt work properly for some reason, may be different here though maybe look in to it a bit first :D or buy and refund, its what i did with division

I think Watch dogs needs uplay to launch. mines getting an application error now.. was fine last night :(

I cannot get used to this new profile pic.

rFactor is £5.69 if people like old racing simulations with a umpteen amount of modifications available online. I personally cannot get enough.

But in the world of 'cloud computing', things as a service, using your analogy you could rent the car for just as long as you needed it for :)

Not saying it wouldn't be a significant outlay still, but having to buy tin outright to meet capacity demand isn't the only way to do it.
