Bit late to the thread but I just tried this.

It's okay, I guess but, boy, is it bland. No bite, precious little appleness and generally nothing distinctive about it at all. Still, for a mass market cider you could do a lot worse.

They have stopped doing it in 2L bottles:(

500mL only now.
Such a shame, 2L was a nice size and it was dry without being too dry like Cheddar Valley...
I'm still trying to hunyt down an offie that does Black Rat, there wes one in Bedminster but they recently closed down so I'm sticking to the Gold until I find somewehre else that sells black rat in cans...

Cornish RATTLER, purely because I live down the road from the farm its made on :D, once attempted the 5 litre scrumpy that was an interesting night :p. but I often drink the pear rattler that stuff is awesome. I did try the stella cidre out of interest and it wasnt bad but not as good as healeys. there apple brandy is also pretty lethal.
