Street Fighter 6 coming with "immersive" single player mode (2023)

I recently came back from Japan and was able to test use a hitbox controller in a store. Was pleasantly surprised its actually works and works well. I always thought it was just another gimmick but made me realise why so many pros are switching over. Any of you hitbox controller users out there give advice about your experiences? Is it worthwhile investing if your serious about playing SF?

I bought a Haute42 but I personally didn't get on with it. My wrists ached and found it frustrating doing even simple things. If I was younger I may have stuck with it but honestly playing pad doesn't feel restrictive so sticking with that for now.

Love my hitbox, my execution is better on that than it ever was on stick and I had at least 500 hours into stick I think?

It was pretty natural to get used to if you're playing any other PC games that involve a keyboard (basically all of them then). Can't say I had any pain from using it other than similar to what I had when I first picked up stick.

Not sure I'd buy anything main brand though, there's plenty on Etsy that are quire nice, or a chinese one like the Haute42 mentioned above. I built mine out of some wood, mechanical keyboard switches (full size ones), some keycaps from china and some gp2040-ce firmware running on an rp2040. Cost me £25 maybe? ... If you don't include the cost of the time (woodwork is a hobby for me), and the wood (which was scraps from some old furniture).

Can you recommend one ? I seen a few from Amazon. What's the difference between plus and standard.

Don't mind spending a little more for a decent one with better build quality.

The M16 Plus is bigger. Better for lap play and you can rest your wrists on it.

The M series is the "premium" metal one. The T16 is acrylic with the same button layout as the M16. The R and U series have slightly different layouts, button sizes, materials (I think the U has acrylic top and plastic bottom), button rings and things like that. The B series is like a small keyboard with a fighting game layout. The S and G series are small models with arcade style buttons.

I personally have bought mine from their Aliexpress shop. My M16 Plus came from aliexpress in about 6 days which is amazing. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1103010183?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.65cf9Spl9Splnb

I would personally recommend the T16, R16 or U16. Or the M16 Plus if you want a more premium metal body.

This is a good video going over the differences between the M, R, U, T etc.

Note if you want to use these on a PS5 you need to buy an authentication device. Haute sells one of their own called the Booter 5, it's about £25. For PC it's not needed.

edit: had a look on amazon. I would probably get the R16 for £65.99 or the T16 for £59.99. They're called "sehawei haute42" on amazon for chinese trademark reasons.

Bring your hit box controllers my Abel will abolish you on SF4 mwahahahahaha

Side note though I got back into SF6 recently, currently Diamond Level 3. Most of the people I come across only know 1 or 2 combos for their mains and I know just the 1 with Ken lol makes some intense but fun games

Leverless controllers can be more accurate with inputs, dashes are easier there's lots of input tricks to make doing moves easier etc but I just find playing on a stick more fun.

My proudest moment in Street Fighter Six, me vs a nineteen straight win player. Me, no wins in multiplayer. Took him down with the good old Ryu drop kick method! Better than your football team winning!
Ryu is actually very good now is SF6 after the last few balance updates. That's gotta be pretty low rank though for someone with that win streak to loose like that :-p

Well, 19 straight wins with 15,000 plus points (the opponent). But, I was so proud for that afternoon. I have also taken out higher level opponents...With Ryu.

Do I hope the damage get gets adjusted in this game in a future update. Doesn't feel good when opponent has a pixel of life left only for you to get hit by a fireball, enemy drive rushes full screen, simple combo into lvl3, 3 quarters life gone and KO
