STREET FIGHTER IV - £16.19 Pre-Purchase On STEAM - BUY BUY BUY

I'm getting really annoyed by this now. Just played mpower and had a VERY close game but he could uppercut spam through all of my BnB combo's, which never happens to me on the 360 version =/

Wish I knew what was causing it, but it's happened on 2 separate PCs and the connection is fine :(

That is one thing I noticed when playing him, it was impossible to tick throw like I usually do I just got uppercutted instantly.

Have also had no end of trouble with getting thrown when I was quite clearly hitting jab as Balrog or throwing myself but no tech was performed.

Anybody about now for a few games? (just a few though)

Ok yeah I agree, the PC version is a laggy mess.

I got thrown when I was teching constantly and I was eating uppercuts on wakeup when I wasn't even pressing anything, something is seriously up.

Oh and I noticed in some games with mpower just then that my character was moving even after I let go of the joystick, only a slight delay but very noticeable.

Good, if it was just me I'd have been most unhappy :p

I never, ever miss my clp clp clk HB hit confirm BnB on the 360 yet against mpower he was able to mash uppercut me every single time, and a reversal HP DP does a lot of damage :(

I'll be selling this on the MM after the tournament and sticking with the 360 version.

Theres quite an obvious delay/lag issue, sometimes inputs don't register in time, couldn't do ultras or even ex fireballs from a light dp. Not as good to play online as the PS3 version sadly.

So are the online lag issues still present? Or was it just cos of network traffic?

Let me know.. Not out my way til the 7th.. Looks so much nicer than my PS3 ver, plus i have a desk to put my HRAP3 on, rather than on the lap.... So very much looking forward to playing this online.

Just thought I would come in with some of my opinions. I dont usually buy many games but this one has definately been a good purchase for me, with me being a bit rubbish so far I've only played a few games online - about a third of them were in semi slow-motion but the others ran pretty good. I haven't had problems doing the special moves but then again I'm not up to the standard of some people here with their ulta-super-50 move combos :)

Would love to see this PC lag in effect. Was contemplating buying this but now I am not so sure. Shame because it looks really nice up close (compared to playing it on the PS3 on a 37" TV!)

Online always feels wrong to me on the PC. I spent a few hours today flicking between both versions and the PC version is definitely very screwed up online for timing.

Special moves are not the problem, it's the erratic combo timings that cause issues, allowing people to just uppercut spam successfully to break them.

I simply can't escape throws on the PC version, it's very weird.

People can just jump in and throw me after my jab animation has came out, against Balrog it's pretty much impossible to tick throw him because his jab is so strong, on the PC version this doesn't work.

A similar thing happening loads to me too. My jHK will magically miss them and they'll throw my in a really glitchy way.

I like having it on PC because some games seem fine to me but others are just FUBAR.

Being able to tab out of the game, do some browsing, then tab back in for some fighting is really nice and convenient but championship mode does seem very empty.

Worth around £20 I would say, no more than that, especially if you already have it on 360 which is definitely the definitive version. (graphics aside)

I have my PC next to my 360 anyway, currently attached to the same monitor actually so it's a case of switching inputs on the monitor, so I get no extra convenience from it.

If the PC version doesn't gain much more popularity on here I'll ditch it after the tournament.

I reckon its worth it for under £20 if your PC can run it reasonably well. Just had a quick half hr session and its kinda hit and miss, sometimes you get some decent games, sometimes its really choppy. Played a good balrog who was managing all his combo's with no trouble, thats probably the only good player I've met in championship mode so far on the PC.

Plus your stick will work on the PC instantly, just plug and play. For our games though, definately keep it on the PS3 ;)

just played 4 games with e36, and during the lag free games I did far better than I expected, but lag always reared its head eventually, with is so infuriating in a game like this.

Out of curiosity e36, although I only played as 4 of my "mains" out of my 9, which would you say I should try to make my main?
